Berserk Chapter 87 Discussion

Guts realized that his "dream" was already accomplished when he was with the Band of the Hawk. However, I still maintain that there is beauty to his "dream"......wanting to stand on his own two feet without being in the shadow of another person. I think Caska is right, that Guts continuing on would be a service to Griffith's words so long ago. But, leaving her?...I dunno.

I can't tell whether Griffith was trying to get laid with Casca or trykng to convince her to not go with Guts by showing how weak he was. Either way that's not a very nice thing to do especially after being the aggravator events that happened in the first place.

This quotation is pretty intense - your realize things sometimes first when they are already gone. The same applies to guts as well as to griffith because he's yearning after caska now after he's been ripped off all of his physical qualities with whom he could achieve everything. Maybe he even was to proud of himself so that he thought of caska not being on his level at that time.
