xxxHOLiC Chapter 196 Discussion

Woo Kohane is back and things are picking up again. This chapter reminded me why xxxHolic was so awesome in the first place.

but random question: if the spider lady gave Watanuki the spiderweb that would help him find the crimson pearl, why would she need Watanuki to find it?

there must be something I misunderstood...



and still no Hinamori. the theories are growing.

Wonder what did Watanuki see on the water... would it have something to do with Yuuko? or Himawari, perhaps?He did seem rather stunned for a moment. Also lol at Pipefox's shocked face!

Doumeki presents and Watanuki, with spider thread on his hand, is doing something to work with assistance of Maro and Moro.



Doumeki asked about it, and he explained.  The fox is afraid but Watanuki assured that there's nothing in the thread.  



He said that the read pearl is not there, but he doesn't know how it looks like.  So he needs the spider woman, through the thread, to check how it looks like.  



The water showed a red moon.  Watanuki then threw the mahou jin in the water and slowly put the thread into the mahou jin.  When they thought, according to how the thread goes, that the pearl is not in the shop, the thread stretched and separated into two.  Watanuki said the thread reached to where the pearl is.  



Then he saw something in the water (woman's white dress and the pearl is on her stomach).  Maro and Moro asked what's wrong.  He said it's ok.  



Watanuki said it's Doumeki's turn.  Then Doumeki is with Kohane.



Through Watanuki's power being strong, Doumeki needed to make sure what he saw was correct...  A Thread!  They followed the thread and reached to 3rd floor of a building (apartment?)
