The amount of mockery in this post is sad.
And the biased stupidities, you didn't like the guy? Good, how about you mop the floor and spread your cancerous thinking process somewhere else?
At least he wasn't a hobo that used Izanagi on his own eye to revive himself (lolwat?) and then got a power-up just to die shortly after: "Madara".
Now that's what you call a "bad" villain, that and Kaguya being the worst of them all.
At least Obito was once Tobi, who was a true villain and stayed one, until he got Talk no Jutsu'd, there's a reason as to why he was the main antagonist and not Madara.
Madara has no purpose and is still clueless, he loses his brother and decides magically to ruin his friendship with Hashirama and become a retarded thug, thus leading to more wars.
Obito, for the same purpose, losing a close one, did truly follow the same path at some point, but his HAS some explanation, he was used. Madara was used by Black Zetsu, however, he followed his own path and he had the choices to do so, Black Zetsu merely used him once he noticed the potential to awaken the rinnegan in him which was way later.
Also, it's obvious that Naruto has not completely forgiven Obito, he's merely giving him the occasion to atone for his sins, that and he could relate to him at some point, whether he has killed his family and ruined his life is irrelevant.
Naruto hasn't forgiven Nagato, has he? Right?
It doesn't matter how much killing you do, what tells you he even forgives him?
Nothing, he's only honoring his death, and there's a thing that's common, you respect the dead, this is also a manga, I don't know why you're trying to compare it with reality.
There's no villain in Naruto, only people who endured pain, in real life, there's a difference, NO one endured pain and strayed from the path, they have selfish desires, nothing more.
So keep your "Obito is garbage, useless" assumptions to yourself, because you're no more than garbage on a train track, ready to be run over by your idiotic thinking. If anything, you would feel bad for a character that had compassion and violently strayed from the path, if you would question yourself about what you would do if you had led the same life, I believe you would suicide like a moron with no objective, or simply act like "garbage" (the word is very fitting) and cry in a corner.
You're definitely in a position to be judgmental there.
Half the people making pointless critics and complaining about a character that has made more logic than most of the cast who joined the akatsuki is sad.
He killed countless people and deserved that death, but for you to even force your opinion onto others by going like "LOL WHY YOU LIKE HIM? I'M A PIECE OF TRASH MYSELF AND I FAIL AT LIFE, BUT HE'S GARBAGE MAN, I HAVE BRAIN DAMAGE SO I'M GOING TO TYPE OUT THE HORRIBLE TASTE I HAVE IN CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT", this say it all.
In the end, considering a lot of the people that criticize the character have ecchi/hentai animes labeled as favorite, I wouldn't be surprised if they couldn't use the minimum percentage of brain activity, let alone having functional brain cells.
Overall 4/5 Chapter, slow paced story but nicely told, filled with a depressive atmosphere and ended with a comeback.
Pretty much this.
Outside of the Obito discussions, the chapter was great, honestly, i believe Obito's death was very well fitting to him as a character and he died with his integrity left untarnished, a lot of feels coming from Naruto's respect towards their common dreams and lives ( being alone during childhood with no parents, mocked constantly and disregarded as worthless, etc.), without people like Iruka, Naruto would've gone down the same path as Obito.
I'm not sure many people here realize that. If anything they should respect Naruto even more for "forgiving" him, you can feel the tension and the way he feels as though he's unable to save someone that was put in the same despair and hatred he was, with only one source of light and then that light was forcebly taken away from his best friend whilst at the same time he has to face him as a person who killed thousands (including his mother and father) and caused a war to emerge through being manipulated.
Amazing Rin & Obito feels at the end too! Definitely not a bad way to end the chapter with Naruto's anger coming all out at Kaguya ripping her arm straight off like butter.
Also, as for the destruction of Obito's eyes, not only was it done because the technique itself can control the entire show at this point, it was also done because no one else can harness it's power like Obito, by plot logic, he was unique as a Uchiha being that he was the only one who obtained that technique in over years, not even Madara was knowledged in it despite being one of the most knowing of the uchiha clan and the sole person that used it as a go-to technique outside of Obito took WAY too much time just to learn how to use it at half of it's potential with one eye.
Good chapter overall IMO.
