Did Bleach just pulled a Naruto ending?

Yes, yes my friend he did... well that is 15 years I wont be getting back. Such a waste. No news about the soul king, everyone did nothing since ywach killed his own men, apparently Yoruichi Kisuke are obviously irrevelent and dead. And the best part of this is that  instead of explaining all these plot holes, Tite Kubo decides to show something so irrelevent to the plot! Bleach was never about pairings, so for saying this was a fitting end is quite bs. He ruined Chad and Uryu. Chad using his strength for his own purpose and Uryu becoming a doctor just like his father... some bs. I'd give the ending a 1 out of 10 if I could.

Just an FYI I dont understand how Kazui can transform into a soulreaper by will when Ichigo uses kon or a combat pass to change...

So exactly why do you guys think Kubo was "forced" to end the manga? I'm asking because I found this entire final arc to be an incredibly boring failure, just like Hueco Mundo or Fullbringer arcs.

Probably got canned by WSJ. Read somewhere that it's sales had been declining and that it consistently ranked among the bottom of the magazine. They kept giving him chances, but got fed up and told him to wrap it up, since he clearly wasn't gonna be changing any time soon.

Ninja'd you on that already mate. It's kinda hilarious that in the long history (1000+ years) of Soul Society, Rukia and Renji are the first ones who ever looked at each other and went "Let's fuck and make babies".

Why is it surprising? we have seen noble houses having successors for the family. It's not that weird that souls can reproduce.

Wasn't it implied that they adopt spirits, not reproduce?

So this is the end of bleach. Cool. Not the greatest but it was enjoyable. 7/10

I stopped bothering to care when captain mad science and his collection of soul eating monsters clone were trying to out Batman one another and it was revealed that these people have internal organs.

Kubo, master of making me love him even after all this time due exactly to the amount of pain from shippers that will flow from this one single chapter.

Troll of the year, all year, every year, forwards and backwards through time and even into other universes.

The best troll is the author of SnK though

Bleach managed to build up two characters together for 15 years, build up the idea that it's not safe for Ichigo to stay in the human world (we know this because that's also the reasons Captains need limiters) and build up Orihime growing stronger as a person so she wouldn't have to rely on Ichigo and then, in ONE chapter, toss that all down the drain.

Somebody is completely misreading whole manga through shipper goggles. Uh oh.

Bleach built up both Ichigo and Orihime to open up and move past their past tragedies and build a new happy family with each other. THAT has been constant progress and that as been pretty much the only romance that was constantly moving(pretty much only romance with an actual, even if one-sided, confession too).

What would be other options? Tatsuki? While there was some build up she is obviously lesbian and childhood friend never wins. Rukia? While she was Ichigo's best friend, she never showed any romantic interest and their relationship never moved past platonic the way Ichigo/Orihime did.

Orihime started out as someone lingering onto  her brother's death and who lived alone and without a family. She lived alone talking to a freaking portrait and having no idea what she wants of life or even whether her existence is worth anything.

Ichigo started out as someone driven by his guilt to hide behind the punk facade and avoid opening up to anyone around him. He hid his guilt behind his angry face and he grew obsessed with idea of protecting others at the expense of his own wellbeing to the unhealthy lengths(as explored in Fullbring arc).

Through the story we have seen both moving forward because of each other and learning to move past their past tragedies. Hell, we literally spelled that out with the Orihime saying that she will heal Ichigo no matter how broken he geats to Riruka, which is double-meaning in that it both means physically and it both means moving past what haunts them.  And by the time of Masaki flashback and the obvious similarities between Isshin/Masaki and Ichigo/Orihime there was pretty much no doubt left that IF romance ever happens for Ichigo it will be this one.

It came to the point that even other characters like Rangiku, Ulquiorra, Grimjow, Nnoitora or even Rukia noticed their building romance. If anything it was set in stone ever since the battle against Ulquiorra. All that was left was for Ichigo to accept himself and heal emotionally, escaping being haunted by despair surrounding his life. Which he did in the last arc. I mean you would have been blind to not notice that they will pretty much become a pair in the last arc, especially in the last tagteam fight.

The end result makes sense - Orihime finally has a family and is not alone in the world and Ichigo has learned to smile and too  has moved past his past tragedies.
