Zaraki and that Miracle Sternritter....they fit each other.



Since there are also Byakuya and Hitsugaya, I don't think Zaraki need a Bankai to defeat him, if he had any



....but if that giant went Vollstandigg...maybe....

Lol, don't be like that. There are some fights in this arc that aren't direct counters unless you try really hard to find something to hate.

What does that mean for Ichigo? Was his previous zanpakuto a fake "constant release form" too? Is Kubo preparing a second bankai just for him?



I think that the whole idea was thought of by the author only to explain why Ichigo's was always in released form. But since it was said that Kurosaki's bankai wasn't really a bankai*, Kubo can now bin that idea in a harmless retcon statement in this chapter.

Aside of that, I think the chapter was ok. It is quite a few weeks that Bleach is somewhat enjoyable.

Nope. Ichigo's sword was still working as Zanpakuto. It just had different power source than usual.



What Byakuya means is that Zaraki was not in Shikai - Zaraki's shikai simply did not exist back then -  HE WAS USING AN EMPTY SWORD. He was literally beating everyone with what's essentially a training level weapon.
