Gerard's miracle power will probably be his own undoing.

This is just Zaraki's shikai? I'd always thought his chipped kantana was perpetually in release state, but if not, then this means we're gearing up for a bankai? Cool.



The last panel looks like Zaraki received a cut after nicking Miracle's sword. I hope he's not already out so soon after waking up. It seems Yumichika and Mardarme are close to catching up. I wonder if Yumichika's ever going to reveal the true nature of his Zanpakutō since Miracle is a type that can't be harmed by brute force attacks? The last few chapters have been especially good. Miracle is kind of boring but there are plenty of captains around to keep up the pace.

Man, I miss Yachiru being around Kenpachi. He found an opponent that is going to let him use all of his power those moments pretty much were followed by Yachiru saying: “Kenny is having fun right now”  followed by a smile... I miss her a lot...

Pretty nice chapter, 4/5.

I'd like to see a funny fight then I want Zaraki KO cause it's Byakuya's turn to shine, he's the only one who has not show his new powers (Bankai or something) yet in a real fight.

Rukia, Renji, Zaraki, Ichigo, Shunsui, Kisuke, Yoruichi (and even her bro), Soi Fon etc etc etc. Now it's Byakuya's turn, I hope.



Also I'd like to see a new "Pendulum chapter" with the past of Ywach etc, I need an explanation about many things. Maybe we will see something like this after Urdu VS Haschwalt, just a bit before Isshin+Ryuken VS Haschvalt. XD

Anyway, it's refreshing to see a sword fight again, even if Gerard's is many times larger because of his size.  We don't get them much in Bleach these days and I miss seeing them.



If I understood the last panels correctly, his Sword counter attacks anyone who has damaged it, hence the big cut Zaraki had on his belly.  Since Zaraki is a heavy weapon melee fighter, he's gonna chip that sword with ease, ergo taking lots and lots of damage. It's a bit too convinient for me.



Hmm it does seem that is what happened on the last page after taking a closer look.  I imagine it's connected to the miracle power and Gerard is also inspired by Norse mythology so maybe his sword is a reference to something.  We'll just have to see if we learn more about it next chapter.  I don't see much of an issue with it though as of right now.  Zaraki is definitely a brute though so he'll be clashing with Gerard more than many of the other captains and lieutenants, but at the same time I could definitely see someone like Byakuya damaging Gerard's sword with his bankai if he really wanted to.

I'm reading it because i'm in too deep and may as well finish it. Also, what does the current year have to do with anything? Unless you're making a joke.
