People calling this an asspull are idiots, seriously.
So far all the Elites had something "Godly" about them(and of course they would be considering they go their powers from literal son of god, who is also named after the hebrew god and wants to usurp the throne of god for himself). Be it the hand of the soul king or an angel. IT only makes sense that the one designed like a viking would have somethng to do with norse mythology - a huge part of which is various races of giants.
And of course it would be broken as hell - ALL elites so far are ridiculously powerful beings(that's why these elite fights so far were some of the BEST things Bleach has done since the first appearance of Menos Grande).
Its not an asspull if its right in line with the set up.
Other than that, pretty much standard set up chapter.
No prob with that. Absolutely aggree with the fact that it is in accordance with their hax abilities shown so far--still less than "V". In fact I thoroughly enjoyed the previous two fights except the way they both ended. My problem with this one
is how boring M is comparatively to the rest. I expected something good with the word Miracle. Why is he not T for titan?
And I completely disaggree with the notion that Kubo gets a pass "cuz religion symbolisms".
1-He's just borrowing from famous pieces of literature. He's not reiterating, he is not cultivating it , he is just taking it to get a pass. If I made a manga and my main bad guy was named LiveD would that make me awesome cuz I referenced the Devil??
2- It's NOT symbolism. It's not some kind of metaphor. It's a referance, completely different. It doesn't make the characters any more substantial. It does not add layers. Does the whole three-times forgiveness act make Lille in any way as deep/philoshophical as the character Buddha? No, he just referenced him.
