Wow, that's a cool Zanpakuto.

So Nanao is Shunsei's niece, okay makes his flirting with her very creepy. It was a nice flashback, and we see what kind of clan this is with this curse.



They did show us Nanao's mother at the beginning of the chapter, than they try to keep her face hidden for the rest of the chapter which is weird because the reveal already happened.

Ah. I feel trolled. Neither of the females are Nanao swords. Short one had it hidden within her all this time. Funny how she pulled it out of her face mask somewhere behind the eye.



Also interesting how Shunsui Zanpakuto who he calls Ohana created separate entity that is the Okyou. All that to fulfil Shunsui promise to Nanao mother. Origin of his dual sword right there.



Shunsui still might be unrelated to Nanao father even if he called him brother. Just like Rukia is of Kuchiki family not being related to Byakuya.

When Chad found the bird kid in Soul Society arc he also had family already, brother or maybe mother was it? People in Soul Society gather into families or are adopted into existing ones.



Nano confessing to Shunsui means he is so going to die to Ise curse right?

Next chapter:

Nanao will say..." BANKAI "

Awww so he was hiding the sword so she won't end up with a curse that her family have #FeelsBadMan.



At first I thought he wasn't a dual wielder originally but I guess that's not the case, glad about this.



Hopefully we see Nanao go hard and finish that owl dude finally, so we can move on.

If you die in the Human Realm, your soul either becomes a Hollow or you go to SS and are given the body you had before you died (like virtuous souls in DBZ).

Not really loving the idea of Nanao taking down an Elite Sternritter but we'll see how this goes. Anyhow, it was good to learn a bit more about Nanao and Shunsui and his past.
