I think this chapter gives an early spoiler to why senju is in the RG, her ability to weave must have been the King's Key. And there is plenty of time plot holes because everyone else that dropped down had to be wearing the king's key, and some of the barriers have to be closed by now. Bach must be baiting ichigo to get his garments since Byakuya wouldn't just step to him. Renji and Rukia no longer are wearing theirs for the most part.
