Holy crap, Komamura is now a human?! It was great to see a brief flashback about that human transformation technique. He looks really cool as a human. :D His new bankai looks so badass, aww yeah!! Great chapter!

Some of you need to understand the reason why Shinji was taken out so easily. I mean, he didn't defend himself at all cause he didn't expect to be blown up. It's not like he can't do anything at all in the state he is now, all we saw was him laying down, nothing suggested that he's completely beaten, as well as the fact he was taken surprise since he had used his shikai and didn't expect her to just blow him up. He came up against the wrong person. Also like somebody else pointed out, Hinamori is there and can heal so there's nothing to worry about.



BUT, the main reason Shinji was taken down is because this is Komamura's fight, everyone has to fight the one that stole their Bankai, and she had his, so Shinji getting put down like that was only for the purpose of giving Komamura his chance. Shinji will have his own fight with a Quincy later. You should all know that, come on.

Oh look! It's Hinamori! Now i expect Aizen to come back in the battlefield by bursting out of her while she bleeds all over the place cause we all know Aizen's life goal is torturing the shit out of her.

Fool! This manga world. Bishounens and good looking thin men are stronger than big ugly muscle men. It has been that way from the time of ancient shounens like Seint Seiya. The more handsome you get the more powerful you are.

There's a perfectly good reason to use Shinji as a guinea pig actually. Kubo can't use Hinamori because she would die from that attack cause she's weak(and her dying is pretty much out of the question, this is a typical shounen manga where 95% of good guys don't die, and considering she's almost died twice, he's not going to kill her off now), so if there's going to be a guinea pig to be used for the attack it'll have to be somebody who can withstand it, therefore a captain. If Komamura himself had taken that attack head on right from the start he himself probably wouldn't be in the best condition to fight, because as we've found out, that attack is very powerful. Shinji copping the attack at least allowed Komamura to somewhat learn of its nature, even then he still underestimated it. Of course there doesn't HAVE to be a guinea pig but at the same time her using it to blow up a bunch of buildings doesn't show anything worth seeing, but seeing it damage somebody of Shinji's caliber is. And it's out of the question to use Komamura as the guinea pig as Kubo would want them to start fighting on somewhat even terms.



In any case, so what Shinji got owned? Big deal, he'll come back and have his own fight later on where he doesn't get beat down so easy. Every Shinigami will get their time against the Quincy they are meant to fight. Plus, Shinji is too cocky when it comes to his Shikai, he's actually the perfect person to use as a guinea pig. He got a nice slice of humble pie.

Nice chapter. Loved the human form and bankai, pretty surprising and badass.

Not really, Hirako got owned so fast :/ WHY would you create such a good character and then not make him win his battles?! T^T



I didn't recognize Hinamori until she started to suck. Seriously, did that girl do ANYTHING good in this series?

Wow. Komamura in his human form and new form of Bankai. I thought he was Ginjo for a second there.



Anyways, I always thought Kubo gave him the wolf-humanoid form since Bleach doesn't have or use animals to begin with compared to other popular shounen series.
