Bleach Chapter 518 Discussion

Good chapter. Let's see what kind of history Ichigo have with Soul King and Shiba family. And i wonder if that "Uncle" is "Isshin" or "Juha Bach".

For a moment i thought fullbringer party is alive wth but glad Kubo actually brings back the old concept.. Though i believe they will still serve as fodders when original party is in crisis and rely solely on Ichigo.

Kubo revealed the only surprise element of THAT cliffhanger and yet he don't want to show us face.

Bringing back characters that were killed in the last arc? Check.

Who died?

Oh right this bunch of people that hadn't any credible confirmation of their death but that you marked as dead.

Ginjou's "death" was shady as fuck.

We never saw what moved him to do what he did and we never had any information on that matter except that "he stopped to trust SS". We did not have one single flashback about him except from Tsukishima's side and Ginjou wasn't the focus at all.

We never saw any body and SS never agreed to give Ichigo Ginjou's body let alone let Ichigo witness it.

A lot of people expected him to be alive and it was written as such, especially as it's Bleach and no character whatsoever will ever die before getting a flashback.

But right, you understood it as he died so it's Kubo bringing out a dead character.

Tsukishima never died, he was wounded but he survived on.

I guess you misinterpreted the scene where Riruka forgot about him?

Giriko control time and you expected him to go down without even using any time related power in battle? With his power it'll be easy as fuck to set a timer so that if his body get destroyed in the next hour, it'll get restored the next day. His power were explained much before he was "killed", I (and a lot of other people) never took him being cutted down seriously.

Rather than bringing back dead character it's more like he's bringing back people which death weren't sure.

Anyway here's my guess after reading this chapter:

Bach is Ichigo's grandfather from Masaki's side.

Isshin is Kuukaku's uncle which make Ichigo cousin to Kuukaku, Ganju and Kaien.

Isshin should have been the one to take upon the Shiba house but because he got himself involved with Masaki, it was seen as a disgrace and the house 'fallen'.

Ryuuken is Bach's descendant, so is Ishida.

A long time ago Bach had a child. This child created the lineage we now knows as the Uryuu family. Only a few decades ago did Bach had another child: Masaki

I wouldn't be surprised if one of those 'magic hunters' that were mentionned in the past was Bach.

Something have been bugging me though: Grandfisher.

He wasn't strong but he had something hollow do not have : A will.

I wonder if there's not any hidden reason as to why Masaki died.

Dammit Kubo! I wanted to see Grimmjow! Oh well, it was pretty cool to see the Fullbringers again I guess. Can't wait to see what Ichigo's new Zanpaktou will be like!

@Fai

then zanpakuto shoud be able to kill a fullbringer. fullbringers are also 'something more', they were born not as humans but as fullbringers (there is said that when a pregnant women was attacked by hollow, traces of the hollow's power passed on the child and made it a fullbringer. ichigo is always an exception ;/). far more if they are using hollows alike powers the result of 'soul burial' should be the lost of their powers. and imo their death.

there is too much blanks that kubo is using without an explonation.

Is that Grimjow, I hope it is him !

Hahahaha I liked this chapter but seeing those fullbringers made me go wtf lol.

I wonder if they still have their memories like the little kid that Chad met in SS a long time ago.

So it looks like there is a town on top of SS where the Spirit King resides O_o

Does that mean that the ones who live there are part of "noble" clans?

If so then Isshin must be from there because Ichigo's family line seems to have something to do with the "disgraced" Shiba clan.

The spirit palace looks cool though.

Ginjou is a human, he used his powers while he's still in his human form , he never had any Gigai. He was probably able to use his bankai and shinigami powers in his human form because he had a FB, same thing with Ichigo, I don't remember Ichigo going out of his body while fighting Ginjou.

That is a good observation... So I'm guessing with the FB powers comes the ability to wield Shinigami powers even in your human form. I completely forgot this whole time after Ichigo was stabbed and had his powers returned he was still in his human body. The question I have though is if Ginjou does have both shinigami and FB powers does that mean he first became a FB and learned the ways of the Shinigami?Though in the beginning of this arc Ichigo did use the compass to go out of his body, so, there's something weird here, I'm thinking it's because the remainings of the fullbring in Ichigo fused fully with the shinigami powers of his, while Ginjou had a huge amount of FB powers. Hopefully Kubo will explain that matter more, considering that Ginjou is back, we'll get more info about him this way.

Whaa, he actually did it! Spirit Palace looks so freaking random! :( Hope it looks better inside... (yeah, right)

I liked the come back of Ganju and his badass sister + unknown voice though.
