Bleach Chapter 505 Discussion

I'm not familiar with the language at all so I'm not one to speak really, but from looking arround the internet I saw that the Espada's releases had names that could be translated both ways depenind on the writing:

Pantera: Panther in Spanish, Panther King in japanese (in the way it was written)

Murcielago: Blacked-Winged Demon in japanese, sth with death and bats in spanish

Arrogante, Ira and all the rest were the same. And that fact really amazed me cuz some names portrayed both the form of the release and the behaviour of the correspondant Espada. So if the same is true for Bach's name I would like to know.

You said that Bach means river (more or less) in german so now I ask if the way it was written means anything in japanese. Thanks for the effort btw

Glad to see kenpachi lose for once. It was kinda getting old seeing him one shot everyone he comes across while everyone else in the manga struggles each arc. Can't wait for next week though. I wonder if bach can fight on par with yama or is he going to pull an azien and limit his abilities somehow. An all out battle would be nice though...

On a side note I have a question: Can anyone who knows japanese and saw the raw version analayze his name? I don't know what's up exactly with kanji and japanese writing but if Juha Bach means sth I would like to know.I quoted an explanation from Bleachasylum in the 2nd or 3rd page, but I'll explain more thoroughly. His name was written in Katakana, this way: ユーハバッハ , Katakana in Japanese is used for foreign words, the romaji of that name is Yuuha Batsuha, but Batsuha in Katakana translates and refers to Bach (Johann Sebastian Bach), the German composer, so Buckbeard's name should look like this: Yuha/Yuuha Bach. As for the meaning, Bach in German can mean a water-stream or a short/small river. I've also seen that a part of his name, either Yuha or Bach, means fire in Chinese < I'm not sure of this part, it needs confirmation, so if anyone here knows Chinese..

Here are some pages to check for yourself: RAWS, JS Bach in Japanese on Wikipedia.

Typical Kenpachi goes straight to the strongest.

The inspiration of your leader going into battle is shown to be great in this chapter.

Nice to see Kyoraku is not dead though, I want to see his Bankai ever since it got hinted at to not be something to be used back in the fight with Stark.

That isn't a good idea since they can steal bankai, remember?  Unless his can't be stolen somehow.

That being said I expected Kenpachi to get beaten, but I was also expecting to see the fight b/w him and Bach.  And what is up with Momo having a similar hairstyle to Rukia?? Or is that just me?
