Typical Kenpachi goes straight to the strongest.

The inspiration of your leader going into battle is shown to be great in this chapter.

Nice to see Kyoraku is not dead though, I want to see his Bankai ever since it got hinted at to not be something to be used back in the fight with Stark.

That isn't a good idea since they can steal bankai, remember?  Unless his can't be stolen somehow.

That being said I expected Kenpachi to get beaten, but I was also expecting to see the fight b/w him and Bach.  And what is up with Momo having a similar hairstyle to Rukia?? Or is that just me?

Oh yes of course I know that bit however it still would be nice to see, with how everyone reacted with Yamamoto being in the fight I wouldn't be surprised to see something crazy happen.

Yes I noticed the Rukia and Momo hairstyle, it had me slightly confused until I realised that Ukitake would never call Rukia an idiot and (I maybe wrong here, slightly forgetful memory) but wasn't Rukia injured? And also Shinji's hairstyle can't be mistaken :D

Holy shit, even the haters have to admit that Yamamoto was freaking awesome in this chapter. This is the moment we have waited for, he has to go all out.

I knew that Kenpachi didn't stand a chance but damn, to see him like that is not something I wanted and he really is one of the war potentials.

Buckbeard got finally a name, Juha Bach.

He's going fast now. Kubo really wants to either end this quick or want to end the shinigamis quick. Most probably Yamaji's and the quincy's fight will go on long. Long enough for Ichigo to get past the barrier, defeat all the other quincys and then he might come to rescue the genryusaai himself. For the time being he will probably show the fights between the remaining shinigamis ad the quincys. I wonder what role Urahara will play in this. But it sure will be interesting. probabaly will come during the ending as in with Aizen saga. Kubo still have to reveal the secret about ichigo's dad and also the Bankais of Kyoraku and Ukitake. It's early to say it's ending, there are still lots and lots of things for Kubo to talk about. In the 3-week break before this arc began WSJ released an Omake that had lots of spoilers for this arc, and from reading them you can tell that what's going on is just the introduction of the villain (Quincy) and the royal guards (they might appear soon), and an introduction of the plot of this arc. I posted the spoilers here in this topic if you're interested.

Quite a heavy bunch of information to be revealed at once. If Kubo continues his trolling, this arc will go on forever.

On the other hand the info to be revealed are quite interesting. If that indeed happens and Kubo starts with a normal pace, then we can expect a really amazing finale.

About Kenpachi's fight being cut, there's a 2nd round so hopefully we'll see him fight to his heart's content in the 2nd round. (No, he's not dead, nor is Byakuya, there's something called logic here)

Mangstream's version didn't mention Kenpachi being the second war potential, has someone a link to the raws, I want to read it myself?I think it'll be up on Sunday, I found only the early spoilers' pages/raws, 4 pages, but they didn't have that part.

Anyway about Kenpachi being a potential, Kubo hinted in the latest novel that there's gonna be something special about Kenpachi in this arc, which can be understood as Kenpachi being one of the 5 potentials, therefore I think mangapanda's version this week is the correct one, but well, reading the raws is also a reasonable thing to do.

Buckbeard's name is also Yuha Bach not Yuhabaha, that's what the Japanese call Johann Sebastian Bach (read as Yohann Sebastian Bakh), the German composer.

Skulls, I love those skulls!

I don't like Kenpach beingi taken off screen though. But it's getting better, so I'm looking forward to the next chapters :) And is it just me, or does this arc has REALLY quick pace? It's not like I don't like it, but it feels for me a bit like manga is ending soon and we have final battle soon, kinda weird.

11 years of Bleach already, huh... And I've been reading this for more than 3 years, pretty nice ;)This is just round 1, it's not supposed to drag, people are forgetting this fact, this arc is supposed to be longer than the Arrancar arc. Kubo is just introducing the new characters atm, we'll also see the Royal Guards soon. The 2nd round will take place "under somewhere", probably in the Ice Palace.

Kubo, you're being out-trolled by Kishi. What's going on here?

Kinda iffy to handle Kenpachi's character like that.

Since Kenpachi is already established as "that badass character who can never show weakness even when losing".

It seems like a sin against character depiction to kill Kenpachi off with that cliche ass stranglehold.

Well  its to be expected that Kenpachi wouldn't be able to take the boss out. That would be kind of anti-climatic. Though I was hoping Kenpachi would have at least wounded the guy. Still didn't really like seeing Kenny like that.

That's the best chapter I've read in this arc so far, it's just awesome.

So, Kenpachi really is the 2nd war potential, I wonder what the secret behind these potentials is and who the rest are.
