ユーハバッハ = Juuha Bahha

The small 'tsu' ッ in kana is a 'sokuon', in a nuttshell you can say that it'll take the sound of the first consonant following it.

I'll take the exemple of the word 座って (すわって)Suwatte, (te form of the verb 'to sit')

It's not pronounced su-wa-tsu-te but su-wa-tte.

I'm not convinced about バッハ being translated to Bach, personally I'll go with either バチュ/バ久/バアチュ/バア久 depending on you want to make it be prononciated.

NO NO NO NO NO! FUCK YOU KUBO FOR MAKING THE ONLY GOOD CHARACTER IN YOUR ENTIRE MANGA LOSE AND NOT EVEN SHOWING IT! AND IT WAS AGAINST THE MAIN VILLAIN TOO! I DON'T FUCKING CARE FOR YOUR STUPID LONG ASS "GANBATTE KUDASAI" MOMENT, YOU HANDLED KENPACHI'S MOMENT LIKE A TISSUE AFTER A WANKING!

HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE ME, NOT EVEN YAMAMOTO!

You said that Bach means river (more or less) in german so now I ask if the way it was written means anything in japanese. Thanks for the effort btw

It does not mean anything but on further research I found out that "バッハ" is really the way to translate Bach. It's weird but I won't comment on what is a fact.

What about "Juuha"?

damit, KENPACHI!!!!!!!! that got my emotions surging, i didn't expect him to beat the big bad boss, but at least a couple of fight scenes. But i guess he had to do it this way to show the magnitude of the situation.

On a side note I have a question: Can anyone who knows japanese and saw the raw version analayze his name? I don't know what's up exactly with kanji and japanese writing but if Juha Bach means sth I would like to know.I quoted an explanation from Bleachasylum in the 2nd or 3rd page, but I'll explain more thoroughly. His name was written in Katakana, this way: ユーハバッハ , Katakana in Japanese is used for foreign words, the romaji of that name is Yuuha Batsuha, but Batsuha in Katakana translates and refers to Bach (Johann Sebastian Bach), the German composer, so Buckbeard's name should look like this: Yuha/Yuuha Bach. As for the meaning, Bach in German can mean a water-stream or a short/small river. I've also seen that a part of his name, either Yuha or Bach, means fire in Chinese < I'm not sure of this part, it needs confirmation, so if anyone here knows Chinese..

Here are some pages to check for yourself: RAWS, JS Bach in Japanese on Wikipedia.

Thanks a lot but i didn't mean the connection to Bach the composer. I meant sth like how Ichigo's name has been explained to have the character that means "No1"

(ichi=1, go=5 as far as I know at least, which is funny when you think that the manga started when Ichigo was 15 and how he has a sticker on his door with the number  15) and at the same time his name has sth to do with Strawberries (dunno what exactly). I was refering to these kind of connections, like if the way Kubo wrote his name means sth like "traitor", "rebel", "death","king" or anything of the like.

Typical Kenpachi goes straight to the strongest.

The inspiration of your leader going into battle is shown to be great in this chapter.

Nice to see Kyoraku is not dead though, I want to see his Bankai ever since it got hinted at to not be something to be used back in the fight with Stark.

That isn't a good idea since they can steal bankai, remember?  Unless his can't be stolen somehow.

That being said I expected Kenpachi to get beaten, but I was also expecting to see the fight b/w him and Bach.  And what is up with Momo having a similar hairstyle to Rukia?? Or is that just me?

Oh yes of course I know that bit however it still would be nice to see, with how everyone reacted with Yamamoto being in the fight I wouldn't be surprised to see something crazy happen.

Yes I noticed the Rukia and Momo hairstyle, it had me slightly confused until I realised that Ukitake would never call Rukia an idiot and (I maybe wrong here, slightly forgetful memory) but wasn't Rukia injured? And also Shinji's hairstyle can't be mistaken :D

Yes, Rukia is injuried badly or she was the last time she was shown.  I hope she lives and gets a bigger part in the plot again.  She was the reason I got into Bleach.

Ok I got that right then :)

If she does get brought back into the story I hope she gets more involved like she was from the middle to the end of the Arrancar arc. She stopped relying on people and actually showed her strength. If she's going to be just a sideline fighter again i'd rather have her stay injured.

I wonder if they will show the Kenpachi vs Bach battle in the next chapter or something? Something like a "While Yamamoto was being bad ass, this was happening" Obviously the fight couldn't be as impressive if it got an off screen fight.
