I don't think we can assume such a thing. After al the bankai is sealed in the medallion not stored in the actual bodies of the Quincy.

I think this was my favorite chapter of this arc so far. The art was wonderful, particularly the last 2 pages, but seeing younger Yama and Sasakibe was great too. The flashback left me feeling for Yamamoto's loss and with a better understanding of their relationship. I have several problems with Bleach, but I just really enjoyed everything about this chapter. It just totally worked for me.

Damn Chojiro's Bankai was pretty sweet! I love lightning based powers and abilities. Kubo really should've utilized him more when he was still alive, it could've made for some great battles. Anyway, it's good to see the Shinigami finally put up a fight against the Sternritters. All it took was MOTHERFUCKING KENPACHI AND YAMAMOTO FOR GOD'S SAKE!

Too much talk in this chapter

One entire week of wait for a fucking stupid chapter with a lot of filler flashback material and one kill, good it didn't get dragged out into a battle, not that it would've been a surprise, but damn bleach starts to suck really hard.

Yamamoto's beard looks weird in his younger days imo.  Choujiro hasn't been involved in many important events for over 500 chapters and then gets killed.  Now we get a bit of his back story, makes perfect sense lol.
