I don't think he tried to dispel or steal but completely destroy his Bankai since the fullbring parts were what looked like crumbling.

Correct me if I'm wrong tho ;oThat's not an easy thing to correct when I have no proof of my theory :P

I just thought that it was strange, why destroy a person's bankai when it's easier to just kill him from behind while he's eating bread in his room with his friends...

Haha yea that's true...did seem weird that...guess we'll find out soon...

I thought initially Ichigo broke free due to hollow his hollow powers since hes used Kuroi GT but after re-reading I'm guessing it was due to Ichi breaking free like it was nothing after.

The black getsuga tenshou is in no way related to the hollow side of Ichigo's power.

When he's in shikai his getsuga tenshou is blue and when he's in bankai it's black. It's not a sign or an indicator of hollow power.

Ichigo fused both his shinigami and hollow power together, Hollow Ichigo and Zangetsu both disappeared the moment he used the final Getsuga Tenshou.

I'd forgotten about the fusing lol but still since he has his powers back...I'd assume Zangetsu is back, his powers were just lying dormant deep inside of him weren't they?

Though yes Zangetsu and Hollow Ichi did fuse mhmm...

As for the Kuroi GT, I remember Ulqiorra referring to it being similar to the Espadas Cero Oscuras so I always thought his GT was linked to his hollow powers. His GT in Bankai were not always Black  in the beginning if I remember right. And the first time the Black GT was used was when his hollow took over in the Byakuya fight I believe.

Seems so long ago, guess I have to go re-read xD

Awesome chapter; i doubt 5 chapters=5 days so it may take a while but the plot is moving, and considering this is the final arc that is a good sign.

Considering not a single Shinigami died in 483 chapters, I wonder if it's almost time, but my hopes are too low.

Last time i checked Gin was a Shinigami.

Btw i don't get it. Can Ichigo still use hollow and Fullbring stuff? Logically he should have lost the ability since those powers where stolen from him?

Shinigami, Quincy and Fullbring are teaching and not a race, this further prove it up.

When Ginjou stole Ichigo's "fullbring" he shortened it as such because he thought that he had gotten the entirerity of Ichigo's reiatsu. He could have said 'I got your reiatsu' and it would have been the same.

The gotei 13 restored Ichigo's reiatsu but it's not like he has forgotten how to use fullbring arts neither can 'fullbring' be stolen from him as it is simply a way of manipulating reiatsu.

This has been further hinted many time especially when Ichigo started to use GT in his fullbring.

Ichigo is just a massive mass of energy and a prodigy at learning which allow him to master more than one teaching in a very short time.

The closest thing to different race that Bleach has to offer are minus soul and plus soul as introduced back in chapter 1. Basically hollow and the rest of the souls.

Spiritually aware soul can be teached anything.

It's been shown since the beginning that potent soul in rukongai are teached the way of the shinigami rather than them being one by birth. One can train his spiritual awareness without any said teaching as it was also shown when we saw Renji's and Rukia's past.

SS just got control over most soul in the human realm and all soul in the SS so it is quite easy for them to get all the potent souls in their rank and have them follow their teaching and not another one.

Shinigami arts cleanse souls, Quincy arts kill souls and Fullbring arts manipulate souls. Imo it's very likely that these three arts decend from the magic hunter that were mentionned in the past and that we'll most probably see some character mastering more than one of these arts.

So you mean he has Fullbring but not hollow?  But Fullbring is basically using hollow powers. Is a teaching based on the hollow type of reiatsu and not the shinigami quincy type. So basically is a teaching for a minus soul instead of a plus soul and as you said those are different. When he got his shinigami powers back he only got plus soul type reiatsu because that's what shinigami have and since he already lost his minus type reiatsu that was fullbring and basically hollow then he shouldn't be able to use fullbring powers.

As for Ichigo: Hollow powers have been merged into his shinigami powers and fullbring has become part of his overall power too(as seen by parts of the armor being incorporated into his outfit). Ichigo learned fullbring thus he can use it, he has condition fitting the need for it.

I don't see how he can currently have merged hollow powers with shinigami ones. He had that kind of power before but then he lost all his shinigami powers. Since shinigami was the ability he knew how to use to bring his reiatsu out hiis hollow powers found a way to merge with that and come out too. We can assume he still had hollow powers after he lost his shinigami ones but knew no way to bring them out and fullbring allowed him to do just that(fullbring is based on hollow powers as we are clearly let to believe). So when Ginzo took his fullbring he basically took his hollow type reiatsu and Ichigo was left with only his human energy until the shinigami gave him back shinigami reiatsu. That reiatsu though has no hollow type in it since it was from shinigami. So why should he still have hollow powers merged with his shinigami since that type of powers where pulled out of him and he only got back the shinigami type and not the hollow one?

We know Ichigo did not outright lose power.

At the start of Fullbring arc there were signs that there are some traces of it left within  Ichigo and he pretty much awakened those traces with the fullbring. Ginjou could not steal all of it and SS transfered that reiatsu into him restoring his powers. Its like a cup of tea. Just because there's no tea in the cup does not mean that There's no cup itself that can be refilled.

Powers did not "reset". His powers are him. He used up entirety of himself with Mugetsu, but that did not "revert" him to pre-power state or something. It just made him empty. But the shape of that cup remained the same.

In rpg terms, a caster with 0/0 mana can do nothing, but that does not change the knowledge he has. Zangetsu's Personification died from either Mugetsu or Jinzen(having became one with Ichigo), but Ichigo still has all that knowledge, so once "mana" gets refilled, the caster still has access to all the spells he knew, paraphrasing.

There's no "hollow type reiatsu and normal reiatsu" in Ichigo. After jinzen it was one and the same, the whole point of jinzen was to fuse those powers into a whole. Instead of having a fractured power set, Ichigo unified it into whole.

Fullbring is a teaching that can be used by those influenced by hollow powers.

Quincy is a teaching that can be used by those who have spiritual awareness and any kind of reiryoku.

Shinigami arts are teachings mastering a plus type reyryoku into a weapon.

Fullbring requires user's power to be influenced by the hollow reiatsu, mixed with it so to say. Anyone who has hollow and normal reyryoku in balance in their existence could learn fullbring.

Ginjou took away the "mana" part if talking in rpg terms. Not the knowledge.

Once Ichigo was "refilled" the fullbring power joined the unified whole that is transcendent power type of Ichigo, being incorporated into his attire and weapon(the little armor bits on bankai and normal forms, as well as sword shape).

Ichigo by all means has both fullbring, shinigami and hollow type of powers  unified into a coherent  whole. Thats what makes him somewhat unique - he is no longer but a hybrid with different kinds of powers "stashed" inside.

Since Jinzen he is something above that with all those powers having merged into something else, as proved by this very issue where Ivan could not destroy his bankai with something that he was pretty convinced could destroy bankai forms.

This arc IS supposed to deal with on why its Ichigo and why is he unique too, so I guess we will learn more as it goes on.

EDIT: which is obviously interesting because Ivan is someone with arrancar-like mask using quincy cross as weapon and casting kidou.

----------------------------------------

                        - I amon the fence on whether Ivan and the masked guys are different teams. Jury's still out.

- The fact that he can dispel bankai is intriguing on his origins. Also the theory of spirits, shinigami and arrancar embracing the teachings seem to be almost confirmed now.

- Vandenreich according to transcripts stands to "Invisible/Undiscovered Empire" or "Royal Empire". Interesting. We never actually learned on what the King's realm is actually called and Yamamoto did seem to react to the name.

Also the number five is referenced again., which fits the thematic of quincy teaching:

- According to the greeks the universe is made out of five primordial elements.

- Christianity, hebrew religions, etc, place a lot on number five, for example Torah consists  of five books.

- Japanese believe in five elements of the world.

-

EDIT:

I am pretty much convinced that masked guys = "magic hunters"= royal guards. The fact that security is softer than expected was quite an interesting note for an "enemy" to say. Also they have this whole disappointed tone with SS and are very intent on showing that they are stronger or equal.

Also invisible empire name idea adds to my theory of some of known characters being members of it.

I was going to lose it if he had succeeded in sealing up Ichigo's bankai. It would be just like them to give him his powers back and than to mess with them AGAIN. xD.

I doubt Zangetsu is gone, isn't that the thing that gives the sword its power. It wouldn't make sense that he can use his techniques still if the inner world is empty.

Zangetsu is personification o fit. For all intents and purposes after jinzen, Tensa, Ichigo, Hichigo and Zangetsu are ONE and the same.

Even if Zangetsu as being still existed in some form inside, after he used Mugetsu there should by all accounts be nothing left.

The very fact that he did not just "Regain" powers but got reinfused with them means that Zangetsu's personification would still be dead.

To make it clear all those personalities are a split personalities of Ichigo himself:

- Zangetsu is Ichigo's will to protect.

- Hichigo is Ichigo's instinct and animalistic repressed sides, as well as part of Zangetsu.

that Vandenreich is german word, so they are definitely Quincy, because tite kubo said, he is using german words for Quincy (source: wiki)

But you see, here's the catch.

Quincy is a teaching. Not a race. :) Anyone could theoretically BE quincy.

We had a huge focus on Ichigo's powers for quite some time and we learned that he can literally break through the dimensions with his attack in the previous arc.

Most likely his power is crucial in some way of hampering the badguy plans or something IF Ivan is on the side of badguys.

Most likely I am betting that we will have TWO badguy teams just as in world war II - German and Russian sides.

World war, german speaking soldiers in uniforms, a russian named Ivan, and a hero with the opposite (mirror) of the corrupted swastika on his hilt. The metaphor is almost perfect.

Just needed to leave another funny thought here... If Yamamoto is missing/killed next chapter, then somehow Ichigo has a chance of becoming the new commander (no lieutenant), then Bleach's main character will become Hokage before Naruto's...

No. Just like Ichigo and Gingo said themselve, they are "Just a substitute shinigami".

Ichigo was never proposed to become part of the gotei 13 simply because the gotei 13 does not want him, not because of his personality or a grudge, simply because of what he is.

So unless Ichigo just take the position by force by beating down everyone that is against it I do not see him becomming Captain commander any time soon.

Though I agree that the chance of the manga finishing with Ichigo becoming part of the gotei 13 as a captain or the captain commander is not zero but I wouldn't bet on it.

Ichigo doesn't look interested about this as well.
