I was solely referring to plot progression .I don't want to compare how the fights were presented or what the character's personalities are like. No fight in the Karakura arc except for Aizen at the end had actually something to do with the plot. It was like "yeah, while we're at it, we can have some fights although they aren't really relevant in any form". In the end, those were ~100 or so chapters of filler, dragging the manga out as long as possible without adding anything to it.
Also I think bringing back (somewhat) established characters from the dead is still leagues better than giving us enemies without any backstory whatsoever. But that might be just me.
But hey, as it seems you actually think that Bleach has been constantly moving forward all this time. So I guess further discussion is pointless. Never mind that one can count the the new stuff we learned about the plot ever since Aizen's reveal on one hand.
