Riruka to be the female that won't be used ever again after this arc. Just like bunch of past characters.

we do know for sure that Grimjow, Nel and Halibel are alive and will feature heavily in the story at some point

We do? Sure Nel is alive doing...erm...something but when were we shown what happened to Halibel and Grimjow?

I don't think Kubo will bring them up again. And even if he does, it's probably for some worthless "shows up miraculously and saves the day" ploy. Or as some addition to the "army" consisting of countless characters that will have countless and endless fights against even more pointless, countless enemies. Karakura arc part 2 if you will.

And even if he SOMEHOW manages to make them actually part of the plot again I still think throwing aside a bunch of characters, not mentioning them again for ONE-HUNDRED-EIGTHY and counting chapters is pretty fucking bad writing. But that's just me.

What the hell? Felt like I missed something important between this and last chapter...

So Jackie, Gamer boy, Tsukishima, and Shishigawara left. Guess they're gone for good.

Maybe Kubo kept Riruka to add to Ichigo's harem. Hurhur.

FAir chapter.

Looking forward to Riruka's antics and hopefully her and Kon will be a good comedy double act!

I was solely referring to plot progression .I  don't want to compare how the fights were presented or what the character's personalities are like. No fight in the Karakura arc except for Aizen at the end had actually something to do with the plot. It was like "yeah, while we're at it, we can have some fights although they aren't really relevant in any form". In the end, those were ~100 or so chapters of filler, dragging the manga out as long as possible without adding anything to it.

Also I think bringing back (somewhat) established characters from the dead is still leagues better than giving us enemies without any backstory whatsoever. But that might be just me.

But hey, as it seems you actually think that Bleach has been constantly moving forward all this time. So I guess further discussion is pointless. Never mind that one can count the the new stuff we learned about the plot ever since Aizen's reveal on one hand.

We still have eight years of this beautiful series left so its too soon to judge. All of this "pointless crap" is going somewhere I can tell.

-_- This gave off a weird feeling to me. Didn't feel like Bleach for some reason reading this. Shit's gotten weird. It was an okay chapter but I still got off a weird vibe from it. Also, the whole Tsukishima and his henchmen thing reminded me of Sensui and that gay dude  from Yu Yu Hakusho. I just felt like there wasn't enough content given in this arc that I expected to get.

-_- Well on to the next arc I suppose. There are still some mysteries that I want to find out about in this manga that I hope to learn about. Hopefully the next arc will be better but this arc was....different...to say the least.
