Reading this part the only thing I could think of is "were they REALLY expecting another shinigami substitute to show up?" That seems almost too convenient.
We do not know Ichigo's birth and kubo said it is one of biggest mysteries of this manga :P

Anyway great chapter.
- Ginjou is freaking badass.
- Did I understood it right? Is it so that Ichigo DOES NOT declare ginjou "wrong"? Its nice to see that Ichigo is not going "ss right, you are wrong" and actually understands what Ginjou has been going through.
- SS is million years old? Considering Yamamoto created the academy and the current power structure 3000 years ago, I wonder how it was before that. Also this opens up the path for Isshin to be older than yamamoto by, oh i don't know 999 700 years.
Anyway this chapter made one thing clear - the arc is not done. SS forces are going back to SS and I bet with Riruka as rukia's "passenger" and Byakuya who might as well get completely friended as Tsukishima is still not dead.
This chapter was also nice because now its IMPOSSIBLE to clearly predict on what will happen next chapter - ginjou will obviously survive, but everything else?
5/5

I think for this chapter, Kubo tried to shift Soul Society back and forth the grey line. One moment their plan was to make Ichigo the scapegoat and then destroy him. The next moment, they acknowledge that without Ichigo, they wouldnt be where they are now. So I think it's up to the audience to choose sides.
Actually now with this chapter, I think its less likely to be a "SS revolution arc", but more likely to be an "SS civil war" arc that will come after this.
Its clear that Kubo's goal is to somehow separate SS from the old ways and old ways = Soul King, thus before we enter into a phase with Soul King as enemy, SS HAS to undergo a change to Ichigo's side.
Since next arc has huge focus on Mayuri's findings, its safe to say that Mayuri will not be on Ichigo's side.
