Sorry but Rakan is know for his raw power more than his insane defense. Negi just took one of Rakan's strongest blow and redirect it at him with his full power added to it. If Rakan takes the blow it's over.



Like Negi said, Negi's power isn't enough but if he takes Rakan's one it's way enough to give a decisive blow.

I put forth that even Negi's Rakan-enhanced superpunch doesn't bring him down, and that the real finisher will be the big-ass lightning spear hurled at a stunned Rakan.

Wow i really gotta say Akamatsu has some awesome bag of tricks. One moment i thought the fight was really getting boring with all the flashbacks, and next BOOM! 3 trump cards!! This chapter is probably the most epic of all negima chapters, and wow tat huge titan killer spear... im totally lookin forward to the next chap

Okay now THAT is what I call a fight! At first I thought this fight was really just dragging on and on, but I take my words back; the wait was totally worth it! Ken really managed to pull my opinion right around. :]

                Five trump cards?!  And the other four were really only to set up the fifth one...  Negi is insane.  Looks like next chapter it will finally end.  But still... five trump cards?!

First of all, I would like to say that the one who qualified this chapter with 3/5 should get his/her brain examinated. Now to the awesomeness...

The double complexio not only makes Negi look like a character from DBZ, but also fight like one of them; and just like expected Rakan, the invincible "that damn guy who you can stab with swords all you like and it won't do a thing, dammit" seems to counter Negi's Thunder God speed with sheer will power. Then comes the beautiful trap inside a trap, with Negi showing up that monstruous Raijinsou Titanoktonon with Kotarou holding Rakan down, to lure Rakan into attacking and suddenly make the fight a Rakan vs Rakan one. Dammit, Akamatsu really knows what he's doing when making a fight.
