Mahou Sensei Negima! Chapter 245 Discussion

Well, I'd rather the fight wasn't cut up like this (if they pull this a third time, which I doubt Ken would do since this seemed to resolve everything) but the content of the story itself is good enough so I don't know that it's worth complaining about. Though for me, I enjoyed Tosaka's development a lot more than the Negi/Ako side of things.



Also since Tinme brought it up, I'm hoping Takamichi & Mana show up sooner rather than later. They were teased at like thirty chapters ago & both are within my five favorite characters of the series.

As I expected, Akamatsu is stretching the fight with side stories that happened meanwhile or just before the fight started. Maybe he'll give us a little taste of the ongoing match next time with another suggestion of side story  - maybe about what is Fate or Asuna doing, and what about Yue, is she finally remebering? And don't forget about Mana and Takamichi, their side story could be interesting too...or Akamatsu could show us the development of the match through a wide screen that Misora and Kokone is watching ^^;

But I must admit that Ako is an adorable character ^^

Akamatsu takes way too many breaks.

Well a bit of story progression no action but at least one thing has been resolved =]

I'm more of a NegiNodo fan but Ako's story was cute. And come on, guys!! I can't believe you can't appreciate the way Akamatsu is dealing with this battle/side story combination. Just remember how Negi was thinking he can't surpass Rakan while lying on the floor; the way Tosaka gets pissed off by him because of that attitude, admiring and hating Negi at the same time; an Ako resigning her love for "Nagi" only asking of him to win against Rakan. The only bad part of this chapter is the "taking a break part", which hurts like 1000 needles after such a raise in the exitement. Oh well, at least we know that each time Akamatsu takes a break, the chapter after that is cramped full of ecchi ^^

FINALLY we're through with this... D<



anyways. i like that he takes breaks. unlike some artists that keep pumping it out every week and the story becomes too predictable.. *coughbleachcough* anyways. can we finish this fight already and get back to realizing that asuna's gone? D=

Maybe it's me but this is what makes Negi's character work. It's that for all his talent and genius he is fundamentally insecure and needs other people to support him. If Negi WASN'T insecure he would probably be a Gary sue character.

I was a little surprised.

I'm am SO HAPPY that this "problem" is over and done with.

Sure I pity Ako, but that was just too boring for me. Especially with all the suspense already built up...KILLING ME!
