What do you mean? I though the conversation was if Negi heard from Rankan about Asuna's past. Did i understand it wrong?

Well, on AnimeSuki the question of Asuna's true age came up and I mentioned how she could be a "test tube" child of magic created for a purpose. And that returning to Ostia can put her in danger of being used again.

A quite nice chapter and I'm glad to see her finally remembering stuff.



As for why Negi asked, my guess is he talked to Rakan about Nagi a bunch (which is probably what Negi meant by saying he learned a lot, but it'll cost him later, heh).  Rakan might have told Negi about Asuna's past a bit too.



Glad to finally see the story moving on to Ostia though.  Too bad there's no chapter next week. ><;



So all we have are insane guesses, its like saying what if Takamitchi told Negi about Asuna from the beginning, you know it will not happen.

There is no way Rakan told them anything about it, he would not care about anything but himself, as we all know.

Plus i think the reason Takamitchi is in the Magic World is so that we hear the whole story from him when the time is right!!! The way the author does he stuff, even if it looks that things will be solved as they meet common ground, it doesnt, the right question does not get asked so it leaves us reading more! Just like Love Hina! :P

lol Goes to show that I hardly ever look at usernames. Just avatars. Didn't notice that was you.

Now that I think about it. I don't think Negi has any reason to be there in Ostia yet. I can only see him making some flashy entrance, and probably in his older form. Probably doing more and more training until it really is time to leave. Perhaps it is a fake. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
