What are you talking about? Those humans actually died, which is what i didn't expect. I expected a happy gay ending. But now there is hope for a real ending with the DADDY succeding.



If it ends like this then will be very satisfying.



I mean this is very tricky thing to handle, even for a talented author like Arakawa.



1- if everyone ended up resurrected ---> would that be executed in a non-cliche and not predictable way?

2- if everyone remains dead --> what's the point of the story again? Yay, I just killed off everyone, Daddy wins... AND? Nothing. So that would also be a stupid end unless Arakawa can make everyone stay dead and keep it amazing at the same time.



The problem now is...



1- Father gets defeated: how cliche....

2- Father wins: ........................



Therefore Arakawa is in a very touchy situation.

My mouth literally just fell open by the end of that...

Shit.  I just missed out on like three chapters so I read them and all I have to say is wooww.



Swallowing a god.  I was hoping that his plan would fail miserably, but actually succeeding?  I'm in shock.



I don't know if I like this chapter or not.

No kidding.

As for me, this chapter somehow reminded me of Soul Eater's crazy "OMFG WHAT JUST HAPPENED" moments. Like everyone else said, this chapter is epic. I really hope we get a good (happy, if possible) ending, but I hope Arakawa doesn't rely on a generic way to bring everyone back to life. If she does. But she's Arakawa, so I'm sure next chapter will be awesome.



I hate monthly releases....

Am I the only one who's somewhat hoping for a tragic ending?  Something like everyone stays dead, kill off a few of the other main characters.  Maybe Father gets defeated, but then Hoenheim is the only one left in a disaster of a world?



Maybe I'm just a negative person like that...

He didn't challenge God, he TOOK OVER God(or Truth if you will).  And it worked.  Advent(Father just isn't badass enough) has pretty much won.  Now the question is where do we go from here.  In a straight up fight all of them would lose so Hohenheim must have some ace up his sleeve but Hohenheim didn't sound too enthused.  Maybe Arakawa might pull a Voldemort but I'm now rooting for a somewhat darker ending, not everyone dead but the sacrifices not getting their body parts back.
