It's terrible that Al's being controlled, and Pride evidently is doing something to the blood seal, which is dangerous! But Al, of all people, does not deserve this :o
SO glad to see Mustang, I just know he's going to have an amazing regime-crippling plan, even though he manages to be all charm and nonchalance these days.
We all know it takes much more (and way more impressive drawings!) to kill a homunculus, I can only assume Bradley sees some advantage in being gone for a while. Hmm...
Greed cracks me up (and damn him, I find myself mentally wanting to refer to him as Greed-sama just because he does :P), I hope he gets some input. I guess Ling will still have a part to play so Greed must too. Hohenheim is a lovely guy, considering, but I can't wait to see him kick ass in whatever way he does such a thing.

I feel like I missed something in between 84 and 85. What was Al doing alone and why did Gluttony just randomly show up? Also, why did the generals think Bradely was dead just because he went to see the training? Where'd Kimbley run off too?
Why they thought he is dead?
You know that they already have long-range communication systems... >_> They found out fast about the bridge explosion.
AS for Al - frolicking around as usual :/

but I prefer Brotherhood's for not making it comedic like the manga where Edward is awkward and embarrassed to see his father cry.
It makes logical sense. I myself felt like that with my dad, since it's surprising and rare to see men cry like that, but the serious tone is far better then the sudden meaningless comic relief which is Brotherhood's biggest flaw.

Thoughts on this chapter... and part of the last. >.<
- No way in hell Bradley is dead from that weak explosion.
- Greed with Ed... WIN.
- Al being controlled by Pride... D=
- Hawkeye gearing up... sexeh.
- Armstrong's sister and Mustang... awesome scene there. Liked the whole hiding an army thing in the mansion deal.
- Father and Sloth out in the open... o.O ~ cripes.
- This might be Ed's last fight with them? DON'T YOU DARE ARAKAWA, DON'T YOU DARE! :robotmad:
- Ishvalens gearing up to fight... awesome.
- Hohenheim being in the action more, very nifty!
- I wish Havoc was able to be in on all this. :smileysad: He's gotta pull through somehow to help. He's gotta.

HAHAHAHAHA yeah you're totally right! so much happened in this chapter that i screamed while reading most of the manga. This is so gorgeous i was waiting for a full fight and now that i'm almost going to have it i'm disappointed on having to wait for a another month before the update. I can now think that hohenheim is a great guy...it doesn't change the fact that he left his kids and wife without anything to say but i least i know it was for a very important reason and when i saw him cry i felt like my thoughts were true.
Al oh Al! i fell off my chair after i saw the ending and i now that pride is taking Al as a scapegoat to inflict great damage on Edward! >< i just hope he doesn't go crazy and forgets his reasoning behind because that can mean death...specially with Pride as opponent! bububu
As for you questions Al was alone since when scar took winry as ''hostage.'' that's were he first started loosing consciousness and sayw his body in front of the door...i think. Gluttony and Kimbley appear when they want i think and arakawa maybe thinking to enter kimbley onto the stage in a very unexpected way just as he has always done. hahahaha
