Hunter x Hunter Chapter 365 Discussion

Finally, it looks like we're getting somewhere in the succession crisis. Damn hiatus made this arc a lot longer than it really is.

Also someone please pray for Kurapika because holy shit I worry about his sense of self-preservation

Honestly, I'm super excited for this arc. I love Chimera Ant,, but I feel like this could end up having a more interesting start.

I kind of do too, but then I think about how they ran the series from GI on and I'm kind of cool with them not being present. Kurapika has always been my favorite of the main 4, though.

If you don't like this arc, you're very bland.

It's totally the same quality as all of the other arcs so far.

Most of us are coming from the 2011 anime, so we aren't used to the long hiatus. Thus making this arc feel like it's taking forever. But it's so good!

I like that Kurapika finally showed the requirments for his new over powered attacks.

But it kinda destroys the series in some ways. Chrollo has a requirement that he has a book open? Kurapika needs to die almost to use his attacks? Hisoka has nothing?

Couldn't a weak character just have a super heavy requirement and become the strongest?

I mean if Hisoka had "if I loose versus someone I can never fight anyone again", which is the one thing he cares about, wouldn't he be 100 times stronger?

The way Kurapika just makes up requirements, so easily when he first learned about nenn is kinda.. ugh.

This arc is B-O-R-I-N-G... Just skip this to dark continent already! stop wasting time with those boring princes..

People are already bored??

I couldn't be happier about this tbh

It's just one dude, not "people".

Sadly that's not the case, I've seen multiple people complain about the new arc across other sites, Mangastream, Tumblr, Yotube etc.

Although most of the negative feedback was mainly due to the lack of other titular characters, some were actually bored because they couldn't seem to care about the princes at all

Personally, I find it very refreshing that Togashi takes a step away from the main characters of the last few arcs and am looking forward to see other important cast members like the Phantom Troupe arrive on the DC or boat in time (hopefully it'll still be a long way till then though)

As someone who's always praised Togashi for not putting Gon on a pedestal and giving other characters their own arcs, this is not the case. This arc is so far about  episodically handling one fodder after another. Having Uvo demonstrate his immense power by taking thousands at a time is one thing, having Kurapika tackle them one after the other is a whole different thing.

Loved this chapter and am really excited to find out what Kurapika is planning to do, how he'll use the third prince and how the first will react to the missed phone call

I'm also positively surprised about that other servant and like how we've gained a better understanding of the other princes through indirect characterization on accounts of royal servants.

I'm having a blast every week and I probably won't take the upcoming Hiatus too well but at least things are progressing well so far
