Hunter x Hunter Chapter 365 Discussion

  • #26
Even a run-of-the-mill nanny has showed Kira-like levels of strategy. Part of me wants to call BS or forced infodump on that, but then again, regular people who work for important people end up learning a lot just from paying attention to everyday comments their bosses make.

I can understand those who say this is getting slow, it actually feels like the type of arc better suited for binge-reading... I imagine this would feel like if a song of ice and fire chapters were released monthly... Wait, that may be faster ._.

Just remember the palace invasion in the chimera ant arc with all the switching between characters' POW *in the manga* + all the hiatuses.

4/5

Ok so this arc is like Yorknew without the Ryodan, Kurapika va Mafia fodder. This might be the first bad HxH arc if it keeps this up.

Except the spiders are (supposedly) in the boat. The whole Chrollo vs Hisoka was a part of this arc, so I'm sure it will make its way into the succession war.I'm calling it right now, they will make their move at the Refueling station or the New Continent

Comment from a manga site which is very very true - "The possibility of a hiatus is far more tense than the current state of this succession war."

Whoever's complaining about this arc so far is just really impatient. With the exploration of an entirely new world in the HxH verse coming soon, and the mashup of an abundance of very diverse groups of characters with each their own objectives in the story, all in one story arc, it's clear that this arc is moving towards one of the grandest climaxes ever. I don't know why anyone would want Togashi to just rush this and thwart the whole potential of what he's been building up so far. Hell I also can't wait to see how all this will relate to the major characters whom we all want to see, but the last thing we'd want is for this arc to be rushed and leave us with poor character development, plotholes, anticlimaxes etc. like Bleach's 1000 Year Blood War arc.

The build-up each week is actually interesting IMO.

Whoever's bored already should go read something else for now and wait for the chapters to pile up.

I'm having a blast every week and I probably won't take the upcoming Hiatus too well but at least things are progressing well so far

Wait, what?

Ah no worries, nothing's been confirmed yet but things are going so well right now it's too good to be true; I'm expecting a hiatus announcement any chapter

This chapter was very good and intense, I don't know why others are bored or saying that it isn't good, maybe just because they are bias towards Phantom Troupe. This chapter was awesome even without action, it reminds me of Death Note where L and Light are just talking but every answer, every move and every decision has a meaning that might affect them.

I think this arc is better without Phantom Troupe because we will see how versatile Kurapika really is and how he will deal with other Nen Users without relying in Chain Jail. Current arc is building up pretty well with or without Phantom Troupe~

If you don't like this arc, you're very bland.

It's totally the same quality as all of the other arcs so far.

Most of us are coming from the 2011 anime, so we aren't used to the long hiatus. Thus making this arc feel like it's taking forever. But it's so good!

I like that Kurapika finally showed the requirments for his new over powered attacks.

But it kinda destroys the series in some ways. Chrollo has a requirement that he has a book open? Kurapika needs to die almost to use his attacks? Hisoka has nothing?

Couldn't a weak character just have a super heavy requirement and become the strongest?

I mean if Hisoka had "if I loose versus someone I can never fight anyone again", which is the one thing he cares about, wouldn't he be 100 times stronger?

The way Kurapika just makes up requirements, so easily when he first learned about nenn is kinda.. ugh.

chrollo has 5 restrictions on his book.

5.

all of which lower his battle abilities if he tries to steal someone's hatsu. compared emperor's time one restriction and ability. Giving himself full access to all forms of nen is beyond strong, it's borderline busted. ergo the restriction must be heavy. And the reason you can't just add a restriction is because they must be added when the ability is formed. Meaning you can't just tack on a restriction to an established ability. Consider gon's transformation, the restriction did not change his pre-existing abilities but rather changed him completely. And the reason people don't use restrictions like you said is in order to gain strength is because they are weak restrictions. Cheetah used a restriction like that on his nen ability and be still lost. The best restriction aren't lose conditions but rather things that effect your ability to use it or your life. If we take gon for example, his restriction nearly killed him. That's the level you need to be at to gain that amount of strength. It set a standard for just how dangerous restrictions need to be to attain god-like power.
