The whole reason Knuckle and Shoot had to fight Gon and Killua to be on this mission from the start was because their personalities weren't suited for the job. Knuckle really is just too kind, and can't let his teacher die. It's both a pretty nice and sad moment and perfectly fits his character.

It seems that first Shoot & now Knuckle are worthless, if not ruined now.  No royal guards have been defeated & the other side has lost 3 Hunters.  Its looking like the Ants are going to win out in the end.  I enjoyed the tension in this chapter, but this arc really has been dragging on for a long time.

THIS IS AN MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER.

Huh. I didn't expect Yupi to let them go. Though it does seem like Knuckle isn't worth anything anymore.

'Hes lost himself. He had to have lost his fighting spirit now. I kinda wished killua came in and do some attack and killed him while he wasn't paying attention.

It's actually kind of terrifying how much Youpi evolved because of one fight, if he's not like he was pre-invasion. Well, I think that was the point. I think one of the major themes of the invasion is showing how people react in desperate situations. Things like Knuckle's compassion has bit him in the ass twice now and this time majorly so, whereas Youpi has very much thrived in these extreme circumstances and, in a way, shows the superiority of the ants. Of course, letting them live may just bite him and his allies in the ass. We'll have to see.

The ideals and personal affirmations have all been shattered over this saga, likely because of how spread out it's been.

Having experienced this arc several times now, I think that was the point. It's a very grey arc, I mean look at how Gon has acted. He actually wanted to attack Pitou, possibly killing Komugi in the process. He doesn't even seem to care as much for the saving of humanity as he does fixing Kite. And, then you have the King who has some pretty interesting proposals. Though, of course, there is no way humans would ever want to play second fiddle.

First and foremost I would like to say AUGH!

The only thing I really feel liked out of this chapter is that there's one less alternative storyline for Togashi to get distracted with.  Though it isn't a completely accurate portrayal of how Yupi has been in the past, I actually rather think I like how he's turning out.  It's almost as if Meruem's compassion is reaching his guards, slowly, one by one.

AND KNUCKLES IS AN EFFIN' IDIOT.

This last chapter sure as heck better be something pertaining to Gon and Pitou or Netero and Meruem.  Y'know, it's awkward, because in those fights, I'm cheering for Gon and I'm cheering for Meruem.  The ideals and personal affirmations have all been shattered over this saga, likely because of how spread out it's been.

This is just a complete 180 of what Yupi's character is. and I have to say, I don't like it at all. He's become quite a shitty royal guard if he left the people who tried to assassinate his master live.

Now, Knuckle is even worse off. His sentimentality is his biggest weakness as of now They were so incredibly close to taking down Yupi, yet his affection towards his teacher led to everything going down the drain. Bad choice man. Its like he insulted someone who was prepared to die. I expect Morau to give Knuckle a lengthy lecture (granted they survive this ordeal).

and yeah, 1 chapter left, and Gon hasn't thrown a punch against Pitou. WTF?

EDIT: Netero should be in deep shit when he launched a preemptive strike against the King when he was extending an olive branch to him. not to mention that both Pufu and Yupi are on the way. Dealing with 3 powerful foes like that and even Netero won't last very long.
