Not that it matters, since Gon plans on putting it on hold. It calls back to the ball-game they played with Netero during the Hunter Exam, Gon knew he couldn't take the ball so instead he focused on making Netero use his other arm (I don't remember if he wasn't using his left or right arm). The difference in the two circumstances is abundant though, trying to get Genthru to use his ability on him threatens both Killua's plan but his very life. That one line at the end of the chapter where Gon decides to do that says so much about his character.
