I wonder at what point it finally clicks with Goku that pat-pat isn't a good idea. Wonder if being shoved off Nimbus will finally make him learn. Still, glad Toriyama pulled another twist on the gag, with Chi-Chi taking it to assume they'll be wed someday. Besides that, establishing a weakpoint for Goku is probably the most important bit of the chapter, at least it'll be helpful in adding some tension to the conflicts.



But my favorite thing about the chapter was Goku getting directions from a Dolphin. Like, a regularly designed dolphin. I know we had like a dinosaur talking in chapter one and both Oolong and Puar exist, but all those animal designs are more cartoony (being bipedal and what not), so just a regular, not cartoony at all Dolphin just casually showing up randomly to give Goku directions and wave goodbye, just put a smile on my face. I am too easily amused.
