Gintama Chapter 703 Discussion

I am in the opposite side with one commenter above, I think Gintama is by far a better comedy than it is as an action-shounen. But I admit that this death was really well executed (Shogun's death was well executed too by the way). I hated reading boring and repetitive "serious arcs" of Gintama, but if it ends good like this, I guess I can forgive that.

After all this time, it finally happened, and it was probably the best death scene in the entire series. God it feels so good to see a shounen jump series actually end on a high note.



My only concern is that next chapter being the last I'm not expecting an epilogue, or at least in the way i want, i get that this whole last arc is meant to be the epilogue in a way but I kind of wanted something a little bit bigger than the usual, 10 or so pages tops of single panels showing characters in vague descriptions of what they do after, I dont know maybe we will be blessed with like a 100 page final chapter and it does have a nice send off for alot of these characters but im not gonna get my hopes up

can't believe real final chapter is next month.

if this manga did't have all the useless generic repetitive shit comedy chapters it could be easily a 8.5/10 at the end,because the main story and characters are very good,30% of the manga is just repetitive comedy, the shittiest type such as dick and sex jokes that doesn't even make a 8 years old kid laugh,only simple minded people laugh at this tipe of comedy,sometimes there is some good comedy and parody but the majority of it is just bad,the last arc comedy is the worst and it gets very boring sometimes,btw excellent chapter.

Sigh. I've willing spoiled myself.If its any consolation, i kind of got spoiled he was a dead man walking a month ago but the way it was handled was so damn spectacular it still retained all the impact even with the spoiler

Yeah sure. For example I tend to laugh at this type of comments way easier.
