OMG, Sakamoto's even more troll! He left the Kaientai and got into some shady cryptocurrency business! HE LOST ALL HIS MONEY TO BITCOIN, LMAO! And now he looks like Kaiji! I love how Sorachi makes jokes out of relevant stuff that's going on right now. LOL, Mutsu went into a black market business and is going the total opposite of what Sakamoto's morals were.

BTW, I think the grave is either for Oboro, Bansai, or UtsuroI was thinking the same about the series, Shinpachi discovers all the characters 2 years after but he didn't saw them before.
Also, that means Gintoki and Takasugi are in Shoka Shonjuku since 2 years without doing anything, and no one thought that they could be there. But maybe this is not Shoka Shonjuku, maybe it's the end of the "quest" Gintoki was following.

I re-read that chapter and didn't find it strange at all. Maybe Kondo's marriage is something that recently happened or Shinpachi just didn't feel like talking about it with Otose and Catherine until now. As for the rest of Shinsengumi, Nobume and Soyo, even though they are in the same city it's not like Shinpachi sees these people every day. He doesn't have to be immediately up to date with all of their lives.
