I guess it has something to do with sensei's past, long before he met Gintoki. Maybe he came from some kind of amanto race or whatever.

Time skip incoming... I think. Since Shoyo/Utsuro whatever is only one of the tendoshos and I can imagine them getting PISSED over losing 1 battle. Sinpachi being pissed for not being able to do jack, kagura apparently not being able to use her body, etc. I think time skip is perfect in this situation.

Same,but still I liked it how Gin didn't hesitate to cut down Utsuro.He did hesitate though, that's part of why Kagura and Sougo were there to wake him up. He was stab when he first saw utsuro's face, so it would be normal to stop moving for a second when hit.What's normal isn't really the point here. They wouldn't have included Kagura and Okita regardless if they wanted to prove the point Gin had no hesitation or remorse in cutting down who appeared to be his teacher.

And that would be a really weird and uncalled for twist to his character.



How I take it is that he needed a moment to come to his senses and realize his priorities, that regardless of who stood before him he needed to cut them down because they were a threat.
