Soul Eater Chapter 72 Discussion

Didn't chapter 71 include the switching genders thing? Well whatever... That was pretty freaking funny in my opinion. :D Soul looked moe almost.  Tsubaki looked good as a guy, and Maka looked like one of those typical nice guys in anime who speak with "boku". DX



Felt like this chapter made up for some other one.

Interesting how Soul, Tsubaki and Black Star all look like their partners after changing based on their preferences. Soul's particularly surprising.

All the reasons that this arc may become one of my favs yet:

- Genderbending of awesome proportions

- Idea of delving through chapters inside of the world of a book

- 7 Chapters ~= 7 Deadly Sins

- Probablity of a Cthulu mythos creature trapped inside the book

- Revelation that Ashura is a Great Old One & that Ookubo knows of Lovecraftian fiction

- Maybe Kidd's dark side will have likeness to Jack Skellington



Madness has ensued & I can't wait until the next chapter to wreak the benefits!

Fuck yeah~~ Genderbend! Can Ohkubo BE more amazing? Just... Just wow. Soul was super adorable, and... Oh Maka, ILU. (Tho I wish we could have seen genderbend Blair if only because it would be hilarious.)



Also, Yandere!Kid? (Am I the only one who is completely terrified by the fact that his mouth looks like it was sewn up at the end there??) And what's with that thing about Kid being a "fragment of Shinigami"??

I'm ashamed, I never new that the book of Eibon was a reference to the

Cthulu mythos. The whole "Great Old Ones" however couldn't be an easier to guess clue. I'm glad Ookubo is back to the main story, I'm eager for the next chapters.

Since the gender switches are supposed to resemble what interests and entices them in the opposite sex, it's no wonder Soul resembles Maka. He can say all he wants that he prefers girls with sex-appeal like Blair but it's obvious that he loves Maka. :3



And poor Kiddo-kun... He may be semi-sexy while evil but they better get to him soon before it's too late.
