I have to agree with the people who haven't really liked this arc so far and think it's getting worse, though. It really feels to me like there hasn't been much thought put into it; the pacing is all over the place, the random powerups seem silly, there are a load of questions being raised that just seem like grasping at straws for ways to drag it out... eh. If it weren't for the fact that I can easily spare the time, I'm not sure I'd be even bothering with this anymore.
I...sincerely have to agree with this. Even though things are getting crazier and more chaotic, they seem actually random...and not as implemented into the story as smoothly as it should. I mean I initially enjoyed couple twists that the manga artist gave but right now I admit that I've been feeling pretty apathetic (despite the "seemingly enthusiastic comments I gave for each chapter).
Sillyriri said it perfectly: " It really feels to me like there hasn't been much thought put into it". This is how I also feel when I read the latest Bleach arc too.
And I haven't read FMA manga yet...but I've watched Brotherhood. Which I had enjoyed very much partially because of the plot...which I felt like the original artist had put much thought into. I felt like everything that happened was integrated into the story pretty smoothly and cleverly..and fits perfectly like a puzzle.
But anyways, I feel like the only main reasons why I'm still reading KHR are:
1. I still have an attachment to KHR
2. Certain characters; I can see the potential to see especially my favorite ones get good character development...and I really hope to see it sometime soon.
3. I want to see how it ends.
