Amano hinted that something is definitely odd about that guy in the future arc, right? What do you think? I think helping them back in the future can be considered as an old acquaintance. And I think it's time Amano mentions something about that guy.

Genkishi? Not sure if he knows Yamamoto at the present (maybe he does remember him since everyone whose future selves were involved in future arc got the memories).
I say Kawahira makes the most sense. I don't know if they're "acquaintances" (okay but then again...theres the memory part) but it certainly would be interesting to see and find out. I am very curious about that guy.
But anyways, the guy who most likely has both illusion powers (though why appear as Byakuran??) and healing powers would be Kawahira...since we don't know too much about him.
About Lanchia, remember he left to find his family (what was left of it anyway)? Maybe he discovered something about them and used it to help Yamamoto. Problem is, how did he know Yamamoto was in a coma state?
How old is Kawahira anyway? I'm guessing he's in his late-20s back in the future.
Oh maybe.
And yes that would be a problem. How on earth would he know about Yamamoto's state? Or...unless he has a really good intelligence network >_>
And I had the impression that Kawahira was in his 30s in the future...but maybe its just me.
Hmmm, I doubt he has one unless CEDEF informed him.
Well, maybe around Dino's age? How old is TYL Dino? 32? Hahaha!
Well, in my opinion, I'm sure that everyone who has followed up with KHR until must SURELY know that EVERYTHING can happen in Katekyo Hitman Reborn XD You gave really possible choices of this 'old acquaintance', Shinku0715, but it could MAYBE be someone whom we are unconciously leaving out ...
Any other than that, I think it's Byakuran ... (I think) ... I mean didn't he say some sweet words to Tsuna just right before he become ashes? I'm not really sure what they were, but they were something like ... becoming friends or something like that ... (I think) ...
And yeah, Kawahira seemed like in his 20's almost 30's in the future arc ... Although Dino just seems to hot to be in his 32 XD!
Well, I hope it's Byakuran coz I really wanna see him in Tsuna's present time. Btw, is Byakuran as old as Shouichi? XD
From what I can remember, during his last few moments, Byakuran was saying something about treating this as a game and Tsuna had clearly won.
And yes, I agree. Dino's too hot for his age. Hot anime guy, hot voice actor, he's the epitome of hotness. :))

A random thought, but I wonder if Talbot is the old aquaintance. He did know Primo...
Maybe since Yamamoto didn't specifically say it was his old acquaintance. For all we know, he might actually be referring to Daemon Spade's old acquaintance. :))
But if it's really an old acquaintance of Yamamoto, why keep Talbot a secret?
Let's assume Yamamoto really was referring to Talbot, there would be no impact to the readers and to the other guardians since we saw him appear in this present arc already. He's still fresh in our minds. We'd all think, "Ah. Should have expected that."
If it's someone from a previous arc, there's a high probability that the readers would all think, "WHOA! Didn't see that one coming!" because it was someone we thought we will never see again.
So, there. I think the only help Talbot gave Yamamoto was the ring upgrade and not the cure for his dead legs. Then again, we'll never know until the update. Amano likes giving us surprises. Hahahaha!

What I want to see now is Primo kicking Daemon's arse. :D
And yea.... if the guardians are there how did Shimon die?!
Either he sacrificed himself to protect one of the guardians... he died from his wounds (unlikely) or all/most of the guardians and Shimon were wiped out...
Now that I read your comment and thought about it..its possible that the first generation guardians might have been wiped out in this battle....especially considering how Daemon was also the second generation's Mist guardian :/ Or maybe not wiped out but escaped or fled?
*Adding*: I'm thinking this probably sets up the stage toward the moments where Daemon (with the future 2nd Vongola boss?) probably overthrew Giotto and his guardians...and put the 2nd Vongola boss as the leader of Vongola? I can somewhat see this happening. Anyone think so too?
Also considering how Giotto managed to escape to Japan instead of getting killed by the 2nd Vongola boss...do you think Daemon might have helped him with that? I think this depends on whether Daemon actually saw Giotto as a friend or not.
