I couldn't help but tear up. Nikogaku losing the next match and sensei, that was just hella depressing. But then it turned out that the new coach was Kawatou(obviously) who applied again and even more tears came xD

Despite how incredibly rushed the last phase of this manga was. This last chapter by itself still managed to wrap things up in a perfectly satisfying manner. In terms of character development it also achieved more than enough. However, that doesn't diminish the disappointment over so much lost potenial. In the end it didn't even matter that I realized how things would turn out halfway through. I still wasn't ready and I would've loved to see more of this extremely enjoyable story.

From the very start I was captivated. The characters were super fun and I liked that the focus during matches was rather on the team and drama than on technical aspects of the sport. Not that I mind the latter, how it was handled here got me more pumped and every single match had me on the edge of my seat.

If it weren't for the rushed ending I seriously would've considered to give out a 10/10. That's how highly I think of this manga. Lots of heart was poured into everything and I think that especially for teenagers it has many valuable lessons. Loved it.

And finally done. This was a manga I dropped more than 1 year ago and good thing I decided to give it another chance.  I still think that Morita is better with delinquency than spokon, but Im still satisfied with this manga for the most part.

Yeah it was too rushed :/ The story had so much potential and could have gone for way over 500 chapters.. but I feel like the story the author intended to say was more of the changes and going after your dreams rather than a full fledged baseball manga.. maybe that's why when all the members were more or less reformed and going after their dreams, the manga ended..

I felt this was a lot like slam dunk in the respect that they ended up defeating a super strong team and everyone got injured by the end of the match that they could not continue.. it was great nonetheless.

I loved this series. Though it completely focused mostly on baseball towards the latter half, I especially loved the reforming in the first part.

I wish there was more development with Toko and Aniya, surprisingly. But it wrapped up nicely enough. There is one more chapter though with a timeskip.

Was a great manga!!!

Although the begining the rythm was a little slow, the intensity of the matchs was great, and ever chapter wants more and more....

....is a pain this quickly ends, because this manga gives for more chapters....

8/10. ;)

Great Kawatou!!!!!

Man I am going to miss this so much, I love this from the bottom of my heart

The 20 days it took me to read it were so enjoyable

After the end I was a bit unsure but the one shot wrapped it up well

9/10 Man, this was a fun ride!!!!

                        ----------------------------------------

Great series! I LOVED it! I am just sort of depressed that I think either the author or the magazine clearly decided after playing the Sazaki team or whatever (The tough, second to last team they played during the tournament) they decided they wanted to wrap it up. It was clear in the next game that their was less attention to detail and it became purely about baseball to progress the plot towards the inevitable end. I am actually super sad that it wasn't drawn out to the full length it could have been if it had kept the same pacing, loved the plot and the characters.

Having said that, aside from the ending this was a great series, had it continued a proper pacing I probably would have given it an 8, maybe even a 9 . . . But unfortunately, due to how obviously rushed the ending was, I'm gonna go with a 7. Stupid people rushing the ending!!! I want more T_T.

I thought it was pretty fun overall but the matches have been underwhelming when you look at it both ways especially the last match. I get that they already face Megurukawa earlier but they seemed like a complete non-factor out there and the injuries being the biggest hurdles for the boys.

The ending was basically the same as Slam Dunk except a bit more hopeful.

Overall, this was a good series but it was a little too cheesy for me and the matches themselves just weren't very interesting. 6/10.

Manga started out in a great teacher onizuka fashion and then slowly went into the 'sports' path.

Overall I preferred the short comedical stories the manga had in between baseball matches.. actual baseball matches were overly exaggerated and a bit cheesy.

I must admit that the manga does teach kids a great deal about the value of hard work. So it's all not without merit.

In the end the baseball part of the manga felt kinda rushed as well.. we did get a one shot which showed us a vague future of most characters...

There were quite a few small issues piling up across the board, but those were mostly some small character contradictions.

I enjoyed the manga and it's a great series for someone who enjoyed great teacher onizuka and wants something at least remotely close to being good to it.

I will give it 8/10 - it's certainly far from perfect, but it's a very good shonen overall.
