If you send or child out on an errand like this, never give her a list of what to get and tell her to give it to the clerk. And certainly never call ahead for the same purpose.



Also, if a child asks you for something long, be sure to give her something like a fluorescent light tube. And definitely don't ask her why she wants it so you can fill the need instead.
