Elemental Gelade Chapter 96 Discussion

Ending was weak. Left a lot of things not answered but it did conclude the main goal of the series. Finally battle was weird and rushed.

that was such a cliffhanger..someone plz tell me it was just a cliffhanger!!!

theres possiblity that it could be continued right? u cant leave us wondering like this Azuma Mayumi-sensei T-T i really hoppe she makes a epoligi or something or a new series that continues this..this..cliffhanger bussnies! Dx im at my wits (just finished reading it) trying to figger out what happend after.

n about all manga pages online says its gonna be more..or at list i think thats why they haven´t put it on "completed" yet =_=

other then that..well i loved this manga to the end x3 (just hated that the ending was all cliffhanger n just left like that..-_-)

I really hope I misunderstood it, but did Ren die? o.o or was the video on Ciquas phone a sign that both Cou and Ren survived? really hope so..

Bitter sweet ending is indeed bitter sweet.



the only flaw about the ending is the author shouldn't bother to show us any evidence of them being alive . It  totally ruin the bitter sweet ending .

I really liked this ending (5 out of 5), although the cliffhanger definitely made me a bit upset. Definitely a whole lot better than the anime. I do wish there was a sequel to the cliffhanger though.

Hmm, I was quite a bit disappointed with this ending. The whole last volume felt rushed and there are still things left unanswered. Who was that Edel Raid that wanted to meet Ren and who was that long haired guy that has his face hidden?



This jewel of a manga doesn't deserve such an ending. It feels like the mangaka suddenly had been told to wrap things up or something. I really loved Elemental Gelade, but this ending just didn't feel right to me.



I hope things will be better when I start reading Blue Flag?

That's what I was thinking. It already has Wolx in it, so it's not impossible.





One of these days I have to re-read all of this. It updated too infrequently for me to remember what happened.

The thing I didnt like was that if they were both going to die, why did Ren let go? Why not die together? If Ren really fell like that, the Cou in the anime would have let go to either die with her or grab her and find a way to save her. Why dont they just react and destroy the things falling on them. Also, they still have the shield power. I hope they will reappear in the flag of bulesky. I really don't want them dead so im just gonna go with the anime. It's way better than the manga with Cou and Ren flying off on a new adventure.

So Cou and Ren are potentially dead (though the ending implies they are probably alive), Cisqua got demoted, and for all we know Organite is still up to dastardly things.



I love Elemental Gelade, I truly TRULY do, but that was a very weak ending.



But I have high hopes Flag of Blue Sky will solve these issues.

Maybe Ren and Cou will appear at the Flag of Bluesky but not as the protagonist?

Sigh... what a disappointing end. The final battle felt rushed overall and they decided to just force in a cliffhanger ending because... DRAMA!!! A bitter sweet ending could've worked I guess, but this one just felt out of place/



Overall, I'm sad to see the series go, but I wish it could have ended on a stronger note...
