School Rumble Chapter 283 Discussion

I absolutely love this series, but the buildup towards the end was absolutely terrible.

What in the world was this chapter about ?



One thing for sure, it has a place in the list of worst manga endings ever.

lol really, nothing no eri x harima yakumo or whatever. it was ok but, the serie should end much better.

I was pretty disappointed with this ending. The series in general is a random comedy and that is where its appeal comes from. However, with the ending and the chapters preceding the ending, the series was turned into some dramatic soap story. I think it was a poor decision to use the last several chapters to completely change the feeling of the series; people read the series because of its humor so why change it to a sad story where everyone loses?

Just what the fuck happened? It got axed?



Here's what I thought was going on. After Eri asked Harima to be her fiancee, they'd go meet this Shawn guy and have an arc about it.... BUT NOOOO! Randomly, the author decided to let him live with Yakumo and Sara for whatever reason, instead of just ending it there with Eri. What the hell dude. Worst ending ever to a series I was invested on. To a series where I really love both Eri and Yakumo. Just the worst ending I've ever seen.



It's worst than being axed ending, but it's a slap in the face ending. If I was the author I could've easily remove this shitty ending with making chapter 281-283 about Harima ending up with Eri for their wedding with the reunion. I mean wtf! Tenma and Karasuma already got their happy ending in America and Eri x Harima didn't get much closure, even with Z. Fuck man!



Still 8/10 though, I really enjoyed the whole misunderstanding + Eri and Yakumo. Pretty much where Prison School is inspired from based on the misunderstanding + love triangle + harsh Blondie best girl.

"Yay I don't know what to do anymore so let's make a timeskip of a few years to end with... NOTHING! Haha I'd love to see the pissed faces of those dumbasses that read my work" is what the dude is thinking about right now.

How can one fuck things up THIS bad? Dunno how much points this is gonna cost the final note for this manga yet though.

School Rumble Z better be Zuperior to this.

Ahahahaha, this chapter was kinda disappointing but these comments in this thread made me laugh, and i was surprised to see the poll result lol, but i understand why there're lots of you who disappointed with this kind of ending.



For me, at least it was still enjoyable, not good but enjoyable.
