And what exactly is the premise of School Rumble Z? Is it a continuation? An explanation of what occurred during the time skip? Or did Kobayashi get so sick of these characters after 6 years that SR-Z will have a whole new cast?

I agree with you all.  that ending totally sucked! during the last few chapters it was like eh, they'll reach the conclusion much too soon.  Read about SRZ and that kinda motivated me.  But when I read 283, well my reaction was the same if not worse than SilentOne's.  Besides that, the manga was good and will patiently wait for SRZ, ignoring completely this chapter.



xhx, I'm not fully sure, but I think nigakki ends in chapter 14 or 15. If you saw the 1st san-gakki ova, you know it wasn't that great, either.
