Whoah, this chapter was such a relief, I can finally watch forward to the story with a more warm feeling. There was that moment when I wondered if Parasites are humans without acquired emotions, why did Shinji got colder when Migi entered his bloodstream. It really didn't make much sense, but I guess it slipped from me that there was another climatic incident for Shinji that took place at the same time - his mother's death and his killing of the parasite that took over her body. The shock mixed with the need for him to act adamantly, despite the circumstances, was more than enough to make him as cold as he has become.
