Well, by your logic Germans and Japanese people should have been entirely exterminated by the end of the World War 2. I mean, they did treat their enemies like insects and animals. Why should you treat them better. Eye for an eye. *rolleyes*

Except, that's EXACTLY what she did! She saw even more horrible things done by them, than anyone, who stayed aground! And still, she forgives everything because few of them are good! That isn't better (or smarter) at all...
Now, the second point...
Don't forget, that it's they who are aggressors in this case! As far as we know, they just attacked us, destroy our cities, killed our people, eat them. We are just defending ourselves! Even if there are many good aliens there (Oh, yes! Good human-eating aliens), that still doesn't guarantee, that others won't stab us in the back! As far as we know, president could easily be controlled by them!
And they still are on OUR Earth! On OUR homeworld! We must protect it! They invaded us, they should have been prepared for the defence!
All right! If you are ready to forgive them, what do you suggest? Leave them on Earth? I'd say, it would really strain our supplies... Leave them on their ship? Of course, great idea... Until they use it to crush us!.. And what will you do with all their military forces? Kill them or let them go in peace?
Do you really think, that we can trust them? I mean all of them, not just few good aliens, but to all their race? Especially after what we did to them?.. I'd like to, but I'm too worried about our race and our planet. They've gone really far...
