Claymore Chapter 40 Discussion

Ophelia turned into the thing she hated the most! She struggled and won against her instincts and helped Claire out a little as she passes on.

Ophelia realizes she never had enough power to kill Priscilla, and now she has become an Awakened Being (AB) herself..



so, Ophelia "passes the torch" of her revenge against Priscilla unto Clare's "shoulders" (whom has her own burden of revenge against Priscilla, due to the death of her beloved Teresa, hehe).



So, Ophelia sacrifices her life in order to complete Clare's mastery of the Quick Sword (Clare's heart was/is an "inferno" and the Quick Sword required calmness/peace, so Ophelia used determined/resolved motivation to help Clare be able to control her Quick Sword Irene's arm)

Ophelia was way too unstable to ever beat Priscilla. Clare is getting more and more powerful.

So Clare's way stronger now huh? Ophelia wants her to kill Priscilla now, but she's probs not strong enough yet. Sides, there are still three claymores ranked higher who might still be stronger than Clare. She'll have to move up the ladder one at a time I guess.

Finally this bitch died. I don't feel sorry about her at all am glad she is dead lmao.

Damn bro another great chapter. I love Ophelia's design as an awakened Yoma. We also had a bit of character development with her too which is awesome.



Now Clare will fight for Ophelia, too.



It'd be mad if Clare became the new #4!! I don't really remember much of what happens from here in the anime
