I accept the fact that no one in the main casts will ever be defeated in a battle but atleast make those fight scenes more enjoyable. August was supposed to be a VERY powerful wizard and yet he barely used any magic at all during his fight against Gildarts and Cana when he showed a few annihilating magics on other chapters. He doesn't even deserve the alias "Magic King" or be the General of the Spriggan 12 when he can't shield himself from Cana's cards despite being able to use a magic barrier to protect himself.
Why does Hiro purposely weaken the antagonist? Is he lazy to even imagine and draw a good fight scene? Or maybe he just don't want to drag it long when the enemy can be defeated in like 2-3 chapters while spewing out words about family, friends and blahblah that seem beautiful?
I wonder if readers do feel emotions while reading the quotes about friendship and shit.
