Fairy Tail Chapter 506 Discussion

I really love Fairy Tail, but this chapter was soo so bad. Worst chapter in a time!



I mean, how did Erza got to Gray and Natsu while she was just grieving about Makarovs "death"? She did not know they were fighting so she did not know that she should stop them and it seemed to me, they were not that close to each other in the first place.

And how is she supposed to stop a fucking Dragon Slayer who is END and a Devil Slayer, both in total rage mode with her bare hands, when she was just already badly hurt? So then she can kill Zeref with just looking at him, I guess. He will be happy. ¬_¬



There were so many good ways to stop Natsu and Gray fighting. E.G. Juvia and Lucy, since that's the reason they both are so angry atm. Or one passing out the other one,... what did Mashima write? Why so horrible?



Not to forget that Luxus came out of nowhere and had a new hair style? So he's been to the hair dresser during his absence? And he was way too less sad about losing his only left relative that is dear to him...



At least I liked the moment when Mavis thought about naming him and seeing him "die".

Cool chapter, so much explosions. :D Didn't expect Erza to jump in between those two to stop them, but glad that she did. It's about time Natsu and Gray start cleaning up the trash (Spriggan) together and avenge the death of their guild master.

Acnologia fearing END is bullshit, and is an assumption made by characters. Feat wise, Acnologia shits on END. Btw, the fight with Dimaria was off-panel so we don't know END bypassed time travel, and the fact is Dimaria's time age seal hasn't done shit to top tiers.



Gray standing a chance against END is legit. He stomped Base Marde (the same fucker who was babyshaking LFD Natsu/Yaio Twins)  proving how slaying advantage is massive against characters above you, and should be logically a lot stronger now, so it makes sense why he's holding his own against END.



So yea we should all admit Gray fighting on par with END MAKES SENSE. Especially considering how many times Gray has fought the fucker and knows his habits.



All you're fanboying on END's fanboy hype too hard here.

What I don't get is:

Cheria stomps Dimaria: Totally legit because God Slayer

Gray matches (not even beats, matches) E.N.D.: Complete asspull



Like...what?



Godslayers have proper hype and we saw them be strong and Dimaria is a nobody spriggan fodder whoa ll have been disappointing. And people did complain about that fight too.



END Is an endgame hyped up Zeref's ultimate demon supposedly stronger than Tartaros, strong enough for Acnologia to feel its a threat, strong enough to rival and kill Zeref and so on.

Gray is what? An FT member who can do some ice tricks and who without his father's convenient asspull power-up demon slayer gift should not even be threat to Lucy/Erza/Mira/Wendy/Gajeel/etc let alone the supposedly strongest creation of Zeref.



Dimaria fight and most of spriggan fights were bullshit. But this like bullshit^squared. Hell this fight should not even be happening in the first place, since the only reason it is happening is because Mashima felt it fitting to have Gray act dumb and stand in the way of the only thing capable of killing Zeref.



In a world of good writing - Gray's role at most would be about getting knocked out by a single punch, while we focus on LUCY(aka the actual  heroine of the manga) trying to bring Natsu back

In world of MASHIMA writing we instead got a rehash of that shitty avatar arc scene but with even more Gray-wanking. And with some Erza wank on top of that.





Zancrow is the only one to have some actual hype but in the end he lost through a massive asspull from Natsu consuming bs. Which was like 8 years ago in the current story.



As I said before, DeS is practically a well written and productive powerup, and is a necessary component for Gray to stack up to his rival. The same rival who constantly gets asspull powers over and over and recently got another.

If you're gonna whine about asspull, look no further than Hiro's ol golden boy Natsu.



Invalid. To be whining about Gray's powerup when it's well written in comparison to Gajeel's DF/ISD, and NAtsu's FDK/LFD mode is amusing.



You want to know what asspull powerups are: Gajeel's ISD/DF, Natsu's Fire Dragon King/LFD Modes. An even bigger asspull is that Natsu can mold his dragon slaying magic with his dark flames shown in this chapter. Last time I check, Magic isn't compatible with Curses.  But here I don't see you bitching about that, but rather you're bitching about one of the well written powerups in the manga for it's standards.

Base Gray would demolish Lucy and Wendy or mid diff em individually.

I mean Gray whopping END's candy ass and Jellal fighting Zeref would be much better writing options. What would be better if Gray using his trump card, oneshots END. So I don't ever see this END overestimation anymore, which is like baseless most of the time, when Zeref debunked most of END's hype lmao

Best in what way? Her character sucks. Her personality isn't anything new. Other characters have better development than her.



She was more usefull in fights while Lucy was more usefull in dramatic(melodramatic)/ecchi scenes. Well, the other girls just sucks. The twin dragon slayers also sucks alongside with their Oju-sama who get to live because she has a hard childhood while they killed her father who no one knows how hard his childhood was.



Of course Natsu & Gray are a bit better but the way they act is shitty, for some reasons they both believed their loved one died. Gray killed his father and took his power to kill his closest friend for some kind of mission. His father is too nice to tell him he has to kill his father. I can't get why END should die? Even before killing Zeref.



But Erza (in my opinion) never acted shitty like trying to kill a close one or follow orders without considering the risks/ "the bonds". Her past is more acceptable than Natsu (A guy who for some reasons travlled 400 years to the future) or Gray (a guy who wanted to use Ice Shell tons of times against his teacher's will).



Gajeel is a badass character but what he said to Levi when he was dying was shit.



Laxus almost destroyed the guild. But he redeemed himself. He was a good character but the way he acted after Makarov's death wasn't how he was supposed to act.



This is why I think Erza is the best Fairy Tail Member (and of course the other guilds). Well, it's all an opinion. Almost all FT character sucks after all.



I honestly found Lucy's fake fight with Brandish more entertaining than Ajeel basically roflstoming Erza for majority of the fight and then her proceeding to win in an anti-climatic manner.



END is genuinely evil. There's a reason why Igneel resorted to seal him.



Erza was never manipulated, corrupted, or had Jellal die infront of her, nor was she presented with a mission where she's suppose to kill her best friend.



I don't see anything wrong with what Gajeel said. Even if I'm not a fan of him.



How do you suppose Laxus was suppose to act? Melodramatic and filled with tears in a war zone filled with enemies?



Most FT characters suck, including Erza.

Atleast erza gets back some hype, she's been a disappointment the whole war so far.

The sooner emo gray vs natsu gets resolved the better.

Mavis never raised Makarov, she was away from the guild shortly after he was born and she was trapped inside the crystal when Makarov is growing. Also Mavis only truly help them twice throughout the series. Once in the Tenrou Island and the other time in the GMG.



Since Makarov's mother died early. Makarov has only Mavis as a female support I think. And this is the third time she help them. This is not how you speak with someone that way who did that much.
