lol Mest is alive

Natsu is prob going to berserk or something or turning into real END.

That's exactly what I was thinking. There's no way Gray would fight Natsu just because he is END, so most likely he'll go berserk at some point and Gray would have no choice. I really hope that if that happens it will be now, provoked by Dimaria, rather than a final fight like in Naruto.

Finally Natsu is turning to END, that is gonna be sick. Looking forward to his etherious form.

Sometimes I feel like Gray would stand no chance against END and that Gray would be beaten by Zeref easily.

That goes without saying. After all everything Silver knows about END is a lie spread around by Marde Geer.

haven't seen you in a long time over here :3

I made sure to avoid the threads while the Gray gushing was going on. The stupidity and hypocrisy levels would have been lethal

Mavis escaped from Irene. She finds Mest, who is going to help her return to her allies. She remembers Zera again,so Zera's presence disappears.Lucy and Natsu are captured by Dimaria.Porlyusica finds injured Brandish and says that the tumor Natsu has is something worse.Maybe will we see an awakened END or Igneel's treatment failed and Natsu is becoming a dragon?

What I do think is hilarious is how Mashima seems to have zero direction in this arc

"Oh look Nasu has a tumor">  "Oh look tumor is gone" > "Oh look it is back"

"Oh look Zera is dead all along"> "Oh Look Zera is back"> "Nope she is not it was just some very farfetched illusion shit that made no sense this time!"

"Oh look God Serena is hERE!" > "OH look he got oneshotted!"> "oh look he is back!" > "nope oneshotted again!"

Well... to be fair most of FT has been like this, there has been some enjoyable arcs, but its always the same formula.

Realistically Lucy is not the best fighter,

that's the problem. The Star dress stuff the aquarius stuff was supposed to FIX that. Lucy always had strong oneshot attack but could not legitimately fight. Via what happened in tartaros that was supposedly fixed. That was the whole point of Aquarius sorrowful parting with Lucy and the gift for her and what CSK said to Lucy - so lucy could in fact be able to stand on her own and live up to her potential...The way she performed in Tartaros and the star dress power up should really make her be in upper levels of FT power chart.

Except that come this arc, literally everything of that feels negligible and she is back to jobbing the same way as if she never got those power ups. There's not a legitimate reason for her to job. It just happens for no reason except so she could be placed naked and/or Natsu could saver her.

In here for example, if this was ANY other character, we would see some dramatic struggle and possible a win. Hell it happened with Gray, Gajeel, shitloads of other characters with this arc. Lucy? She gets to pose her butt a bit, then gets offscreened and tied  to a bondage chair so Natsu can have his big moment.

And yeah, Natsu's story blah blah blah, but one of biggest Elemetns of FT was lucy's mystery and her journey - she was his equal in story importance. Now not only was her backstory literally wasted to explain away a part of Natsu's and did not have any relevance to her("Hey you know your mom mystery the whole story teased for YEARS? Oh she sudoku'd so the MC's backstory would not have plotholes")  , but her getting stronger is literally pointless as the story ignores that.

Which is kind of ironic that while Lucy is denied her very much deserved development and progress, Gray finds himself gaining more and more plot out of nowhere and more and more power out of nowhere.

Its like reverse-RAVE. Had Mashima not written Rave, I would hoonestly believe he is as sexist as Kishimoto.

Lucy...literally got offscreened.

One of main characters.

THe protagonist telling the whole story.

Got offscreened and is now in for some fanservice bondage.

Not only she got no real fight and got offscreened, now most likely Natsu will save her AGAIN and she will again serve as a way to further his plotline....

Not only that but the rest of chapter was nonsensical nakama speeches again and again and again as a filler.

Mashima, I keep expecting the WORST out of you and you KEEP surprising with how much worse you can write than mye expectations....

What I do think is hilarious is how Mashima seems to have zero direction in this arc

"Oh look God Serena is hERE!" > "OH look he got oneshotted!"> "oh look he is back!" > "nope oneshotted again!"

This literally feels now as if Mashima is pulling this arc out of his own ass with no real plan for it. Stuff is introduced, then retconned away, then reintroduced via more retcons and so on. Did anything in last few dozen chapters had any real importance or value beyond maybe one or two events? Not really. Mashima wrote himself into a corner, has no idea or plan on what to do and is stalling.

This SO MUCH

No arc has been as tension-less as this one.

Not really. Before there was clear  foreshadowing at what will happen and while it had some meh conclusions, a lot of stuff made sense and Mashima's intentions, corny or not, were clear. It was never this kind of back and forth of mashima not knowing what he wants to do.

Dude really, your actually going to defend this arc  and everybody who has  been complaining about how bad this arc is.. is  a hypocrite dude even diehard Fairy Tail fans like myself admit this arc has been krap.

Was I defending this arc in that post? No I wasn't. I was voicing that I did not want to swim in the gushing and hypocritical fanboying of the gray fanbase that infests these threads.

Read my post again.

You quoted the wrong person.
