Lol how is DeS a lame plot power for Gray @ Fai?
It's one of the better written powerups in the damn manga.

It's probably because of Gray absorbing MM that is eating away at his heart whenever he uses DES.Nope. Invel talk about Devil Slaying as a power that eat away your heart, he is not only talking about Gray, that's why it gave an inconsistency because nothing happened to Gray father despite both of them a DSM user.

Chapter was nice, but we all know nobody will get hurt in the end, UNLESS he kills her as he did with Musica's love interest in Rave, but I highly doubt it will happen, and if it does, people will rage and act stupid and go on his twitter etc... So the chapter was nice, but next weak is BS time or the weak after that, you know if he kills her she will be brought back somehow.
The reason Reina was a killable character, was the fact that although she was introduced in volume 4 she never did much of anything besides standing around and talk. Until her fights during volume 11 & 16 . Her character development consisted of 2 volumes and the time dedicated towards her relationship with Musica was 2 days, with some days of thought in between, in which they fell in love due to their shared pasts.
On the contrary Juvia was introduced 400+ chapters ago (content worth 40 volumes), had several volumes worth of sceentime and she has relationships with several characters within the Manga that exclude Gray, even outside of Fairy Tail.
But the nail in the coffin is Mashima Sensei´s quote in his interview "Fairy Tail will be a happier seiries".

So Mashima adds a new element to Dragon Slayers out of nowhere. Wonder if it was planned or inspired by a recent video game he just played (which would explain the late release).
And here comes Plot Device Brandish randomly coming in to set up obvious Gray X Juvia moment.

to me this scenario screams, "if you cant beat the magic beat the mage creating it" i see them just 2v1ing invel with the chain on and maybe doing another unison raid (which now that i think about it would essentially be invels magic as a whole?)
It is not possible tho because the use of the chain to gruvia is that their mind don't act at their own will< it is freeze like that so impossible. Well exception if they use the power of love

I already knew that, I'm just saying it seems odd that he can't go and kill Natsu outright, being probably significantly stronger than him.
I suppose 'devil slayer' could assist in killing Natsu, although it seems like a stretch that Gray would really be more effective than a Spriggan at killing him even with his increased effectiveness against natsu. Surely, multiple spriggans working together would easily dominate Natsu, but for some reason they never do this.

Mashima won't kill her off. He already screwed up twice. First in Gajeel, second in Mira. No one is gonna believe him now. And with a title like Gray and Juvia, you expect Juvia to die? More like nakama power at the best here.
Well even they survive the ice lock by Invel, it seems that Juvia will still most likely to die. Remember in Avatar arc she had a disease and according to the theory i've watched just theory that disease came from when she fights Keyes of Tartaros.
And this arc is getting so screwed already I want some sad moments for the sake of the series tho
I'm pretty sure Juvia doesn't have any disease, she didn't really took in a large sum like Laxus did. And Porlysica already made an antidote through Tempesta.

It does prove that Mashime is SUPER DESPERATE if he keeps bringing back old things he himself fucked up(Look! Tartaros Curse powers! Look Gray's demon shadow stuff thing I ruined! Look Serena totally not dead!). Alas nothing is working. At this point Mashima is literally throwing Shit at the wall hoping some of it sticks.
Otherwise lold hard at random giant Brandish. Mashima at this point is going to cover all possible fetishes with her. Not to mention that she continues being a plot device.

He never really fucked it up, considering if you look at it objectively having Gray turn completely dark all the way back in Avatar would have been WAY too soon and is better suited for an end game plotline that makes him lose himself and try to kill Natsu/END. There never was a conclusion to the Gray kills Frosche plotline either, meaning that he never closed the door on this plotpoint.
I know you have no faith and like to nitpick literally everything, but what would you honestly say if it does go in the direction you don't think is possible? Will you eat your own words?

But I think I'm going to enjoy the next chapter more. Why? Obviously because I'm expecting a nice shipping moment, not because I think either of those two are going to die. It's impossible for Mashima to really create any tension at this point; nobody's gonna die. I'm kind of happy about that though; now I don't have to worry about Juvia's fate. She's going to be fine. I just hope we get some drama out of this.
