Lol, Mest...



From the surface, it was a nice farewell scene between Gajeel and Levy/Lily, but I really doubt Gajeel is dead one way or another. I'll be truly surprised if he actually is. Nevertheless, Gajeel's development up to this point was pretty nice.

Is this real? To be honest, I was so confused that it actually looked like a real death scene. Idk if Mashima is gonna pull something to bring back Gajeel but whatever. And... Wow Mest is an idiot. But at least we're gonna see August in action.

Nakama power will bring back Gajeel...I think.



Mashima did kill characters before in Rave. Dammit Mest, you just have to mess things up.

Maybe the Celestial Spirit King goes to the underworld to save him (considering his former beef with the underworld) and transfers him to the spirit world where he becomes a key for Lucy; we all know some stupid loophole like this is going to happen lol.



I have to give it to Mest actually doing the right thing. I mean its a freaking war and now Brandish is team Fairy Tail through the power of friendship and she was going to do the same thing to August. Mest was smart on not taking ANY chances whatsoever. August could have been bluffing for all they know. Also they are all pissed at him for making a smart move, but when they do some dumb shit all the time its because they did it for their nakama's and no one can question it. Double standard much?



Either way I can't wait for this countdown to be over to see if END really does show up. I want to see Irene and Acno fight too, but we all know she is going to get killed by him. The rightful fight will between Zeref, Natsu/END, and Acno at the end.



Again, I'll repeat it -.-. Gajeel didn't go to any underworld, his body was literally grind to particles.

Wait no ... she has been introduced 5 chapters ago and I couldn't care less about what she does ...

I'm usually a sucker for these moments but not a single tear was shed ...wonder how long until Gajeel shows up again, he'll find a way surely xD

So out of the fights so far, I disliked 3, Brandish was hardly a fight. Face it, you complain about this arc, but Tartaros the arc you hype up so much, had the same problems. The fights in Fairy Tail are not consistent. Some are cool/good, but that's it.



You have some legit points, if I may add, Tartaros had some of the darkest or most anticipated events in the series.



- The magic council got all killed.

- Wendy went Dragon force.

- The Dragons returned to the story solving many mysteries.

- Alot of parents died, something that´s absent from the story during this arc.

- We had a flashback  for Mirajane and other less utilized characters that shined.

- The first actual timeskip was introduced.

- Civilians died and we got to see their terror.



Compared to how many casualties Tartaros had the Spiggan arc seems awfully tame. For examble, they could have killed off Sabretooth fodder, naming a few numbers would helped to imagine their lethality.



Bradman crucified people, yet they made jokes about Jenny´s panties instead of actually torturing the prisoners. Tartaros lacked humor something that´s missplaced way too often in this arc.

Gajeel is gone, granted there is a loop hole he is not dead, he is sucked into another dimension never to return, which means he can come back,  and dam it he better come back, Hiro this was suppose to be a happier version of Rave Master, so make it so. Over or under Gajeel comes back in chapter 490.



Still emotionally to see Levy and Lily like that, they are out of the fight, but don't despair, if Byakura can come back, than so can Gajeel.



Irene vs Achnologia in coming, I wonder if they do have a past, I still think Achnologia played some role in Irene and Erza's separation, I guess we will find out.



I thought someone in Fairy Tail would do something stupid to destroy any hopes of negociation with August, I just didn't think it would be Mest, though I did think the grandpa thing with Brandish was so adorable, but dam it Mest, I guess you can take the man out of the duchbag council, but you can't fully take out the duchbac council out of the man, that was just a short sighted duchbag magic council thing to do, and all it did was pissed off August, what was he thinking, did he think that would kill August, giving last chapter he knew the difference in strength. And I hope Brandish doesn't turn on us because of this, I mean who could blame her.



Anyway this was a good chapter, though I know Gajeel is coming back, we have this big battle with Acnologia that we will need all dragon slayers for, not to mention Gajeel is very popular, he was the star of his own spinoff series, and Fairy Tail is suppose to be a happy manga, so he will be back.
