Not the first time someone senses somebody "dying" when it did not happen.

Not the first time an actual death is undone either.



The DS's have very strong senses and Acnologia being as powerful as he is, probably has the greatest senses. Remember when he killed Serena he said 'Only seven remain' and now he says 'Only six remain'. So there's a very good chance Gajeel is dead.



Of course, I'm not denying the possibility that he could get revived later on in the manga but let's see for now.

It's not even that. August showed that he would at least hear them out






But now due to Mest jumping the gun and making Brandish stab August, one of the strongest mages, any type of negotiations have fallen through.



They could have possibly avoided one of their strongest enemies, and he could've possibly become a neutral party until the end of the war, but those what ifs aren't possible now



He said he would hear them out even though it was very clear he wouldn't be swayed. And besides he's not leading the invasion Zeref is so even if August wanted to back out the possibility of him actually doing so is almost none. August was going to fight regardless. The only bad thing Mest did was hasten August's defeat since every Spriggan has been meme worthy

It was a hollow victory. Council - the body of control that was there since the start was destroyed. Laxus was poisoned. Natsu could not kill the opponent. All the losses were ont he ally side while the enemies achieved most of what they wanted to do.



Jackal's credibility lost major points when a cat survived a huge explosion, come on. Dark stuff, happened true, and Tartaros is still probably FT darkest arcs, but it had problems.







From mira. And it felt earned. And it had great build up via Mira's backstory and emotional pay off with them protecting each other.





It's a one shot, dude, you complained about that a lot in this arc. The stuff with Mira was good, but that doesn't justify the one shot, when Seilah did so much damage.



One of the only Erza wins that were somewhat acceptable since it happened midway through emotional pay off and relied on Erza already having survived horrible torture as a slave AND left lasting effect on her psyche. But yeah it was the only fight i disliked in that arc. Compared to Spriggan arc where there literally has not been even decent fight yet.



No, I'd say her fight with Azuma was more acceptable than this, stripped of all senses, and got up to defeat her opponent. She had the background for it, but it's still too stretched out, to base it just on that, plus Happy troll moment made it worse, and Kyouka had a upperhand.



He got blasted by a fodder and then got erza'd.



So Erza needed help in a fight, for the first time, ever.



She literally spent time playing around cutting people's clothes off.





That was annoying, Mashima giving villains the same personalities, it's annoying.

A character randomly appearing for no reason at all is not "reasonable". This is same as if Zeref would appear 10 chapters earlier in Tartaros and oneshot everyone.



Randomly? You forgot that chapter were Acnologia clearly said he'll take everything back, right before this war started? Really? The set up, we knew he was coming, we didn't knew when, and he seems to be taking out the Dragon Slayers, he might think they're a threat to him.



Look Tartaros is probably my favorite arc in Fairy Tail (so far), but by no means it's perfect, I summed it up, in that reply to Isterio, above.

This is gonna go on forever isn't. Zeref has made it clear that resurrection magic method are near impossible. No one can bring him back. Acknologia is not a joke character he said he gone so that's it.



Can we move away from gajeel's demise talk more about the treason Brandeis has implicated herself in, she is a general, and should know better. Basically something like this would get court marshaled, so she basically has to defect from Alvarez or dethrone Zeref. And asking August one of his most trusted counsel to do the same, is ridiculous. It doesn't matter if the enemy is evil or not that's not how soldier act, you fight till the mission is through.   So basically brandish characters has two roads, to die or to join fairy tail.



Now at the moment we have a standoff with August, and confrontation of Irene and ACKNI and a slowly approaching Zeref and ivnel



Zeref should arrive in time for Mavis to finally reclaim her physical form and confront him I think



Yeah, because Mashima totally doesn't have a history of asspulling "dead" main characters back to life.



gajeel is not a main character I keep saying . He pretends to be one but he is not, neither is juvia, they just cling to team natsu.  I don't think about gajeel to much so I never thought about him dying. Juvia, dying later oh defiantly, this girls would jump into a deathtrap for gray easy, we know that, she not very strong, and all of grays personal loved one die so things don't look good for her.    Everyone keeps saying fiarytail is gonna have a happy ending. What is a happy ending exactly. Peace on earth. Saving the world from darkness. That is so vague BECASUE what makes me happy and you happy is not the same thing



Well... Gajeel is alive and kickin'. I'll stay with: One does not simply die in Fairy Tail...

I am not really that sad about Garjeel cause he will be back....

It was really nice to see the last momments of hes " temporal death state?".





However i believe same shit will happen as Natsu vs Zero. He will get overwhelm with the power of feelings reform himself and go into True dragon force or heck even a new transformation and kick ass !



However i believe the story of Garjeel wont be more involved for couple more chapters.



As for Mest..... With hes powers i would probably have done the same to be honest. It is frustating and low standars for fairy tail member but its an effective way to destroy your enemies. Too bad August is OP as fuck.



I cant wait to see August powers and Eileen Belserion vs Acnologia !!!

God damn it Gajeel really is gone. Such a tearful goodbye to Levy & Lily.

He was really thinking about a future with her.



Aconologia vs Irene. Seems like he doesn't even care about fighting her.



The negotiations were going so well & Mest screws it up. How could he do that to Brandish.



August is pissed. Now to see what kind of magic he has.
