Igneel couldn´t defeat E.N.D because he adopted him, he knows that Natsu is E.N.D but he didn´t knew a way of seperating the demon from Natsu, whatever it is.



Igneel couldn´t do it because E.N.D was a child that taught him to love children.



We don't know the full details yet. For all accounts it's possible that Igneel only discovered that END was in fact a child only after a grueling battle.

No they aren't in fact pretty sure that Igneel (in his full force) is stronger than Acnologia.

One thing I don't like is how Mashima literally just slapped on a timeskip so that Natsu can have this OP(?) power. It just seems really, REALLY lazy and very convenient



I speak for other timeskip in long running shounens as well, the difference with this is that a major arc is happening right after, not some slow buildup. Unless I'm forgetting something...

If the Eclipse Gate was used to bring Natsu from the past to the future. Then who is the current Natsu Dragneel? Could it be that he is END is roaming somewhere or he is actually Acnologia? Everything is possible...



Possibility of Zeref dieing here is 50%. Probably Acnologia will interefere or Zeref will bring out the book of end? Or Natsu's flames will lose it power because the Dragon power he got from Igneel became zero? Damn that Cliffhanger was shocking! Can't wait to see the past of Zeref, Natsu and the others!

Fantastic turn of events that is one of the best twists a shonen series could pull off. Only Mashima would be gutsy enough to have Zeref be defeated so early and by Natsu no less. It's not even a bullshit power up either, since it's from Igneel and is a one time use only. So many people thought Natsu was going to lose this fight, but with the way Zeref was reacting made it clear Natsu was outclassing him at every turn and he was truly threatened. Can't wait to see who the true big bad is, since Zeref was never really a villain.

WOOOW. that was a shock. so igneels last powers with in him, 10 months training. damn. Flame Dragon king Mode. now that is impressive and exciting! not sure if he id really defected zeref of not, but those names, Anna, Layla, Mavis and Natsu! (who is anna, and why Layla, what or who is she?)
