It was never said how Layla died. But it was said when, in X777. Year when the dragons disappeared. My theory: What if Zeref used Layla's Celestial powers to activate Eclipse to bring Natsu in x777 and Layla died because of that? Nya, just a theory.



And yeah, Zeref's not dead. He still needs to say Natsu he is his brother. xD



I have a feeling that end is far away. There are many more mysteries to discover. Like who's Anna?

It probably is a one-time thing as Natsu stated it himself and literally wrecked Zeref using the Blaze Dragon King Mode.



Though, I really hope Zeref wasn't this weak >.<!zeref is strong. Either he is holding back or natsu new mode overpowered him. As you can see, 1 time only power is definitely strong like ichigo final getsuga tensho

Maybe Natsu ain't so dumb after all, he has coming closer to defeating Zeref than I thought he ever would.



So he was hiding Igneel's power all along, I wish Hiro would have saved that for later, I guess Natsu can only cover himself for so long.



How is Zeref going to get out of this one, looks like Zeref is not resisting, so Zeref is not going to stop him, will the power just run out, will someone like August interfere, will Natsu find out he is Zeref brother and just stop his attack, I don't know.



Looks like we won't find out yet, as next chapter is going to be a flashback chapter it seems.

No it doesn't. Since he didn't go fire dragon king mode before it. It was just a punch. He held this power back specifically for Zeref. He made a big deal about conserving it. To so casually throw it at overgrown fodder makes no sense.

She has the same hair as natsu (color) So yes, probably their mum.

Why would he call his mum by her name? In his bedtime story to the END book, there was no mention of his parents and he only wanted to revive his brother. Plus, when he recalled those names, he went 'Anna, Layla, Mavis & Natsu'. So one can assume from this that Anna was the last person he met who he cared about.

He won't kill Zeref with that move of his. It was too easy. We still have Gray's Devil Slaying Magic. Lucy's tits part in the story and she hasn't done anything special as of late concerning her powers or status in the arc.



I can see natsu transforming into Etherious form to beat all of Acnologia. But Acnologia will take Zeref in and become the immortal dragon king and the Etherious Natus Dragneel will beat them all Fairy Tail Style.
